USPS literally lost my package. Tracking said it was delivered, but in the mailbox - no package. Went to the local station, no record of delivery, no idea what happened, no action will be taken on their part. They did recommend that I contact Amazon, which was cool about the whole thing and sent a substitute package. I suspect the postman put it in the wrong mailbox and one of my neighbors is enjoying my new gym shorts and razor blades.
I ordered Gillette Wilkinson Sword (Saloon Pack) blades from India. Delivery requires a signature. The USPS tracking showed an attempted delivery 3 days ago. The USPS tracking site showed "No one available at the unit". We live in a house and not an apartment "unit". No receipt or notice was left in the mailbox or on the front porch. We were home all day, and are sure that no delivery attempt was made. No subsequent deliveries were attempted!
I went to the PO today, and the package was in the back area. I was able to sign for it and bring it home.
This has happened before.
You MUST be pro-active when USPS tracking shows an attempted delivery was made. Before I became pro-active, the USPS sent packages back to the sender!
In "todays world" the right things do not happen, and you must look out for yourself. When things go wrong (and they do everyday, with nearly everything) you must be pro-active and look out for your own well being (especially with medical issues). If you don't, you only have yourself to blame.

Well I don't work for USPS but I do work for UPS. I have had a package lost by USPS and the crazy thing is it was a package that we (ups) delivered to the PO to take to the house. The worst thing is I can see the corner of the parking lot of the PO and some how they still lost it. As a UPS driver I try my best to treat everyone's package as though it were mine. I go the extra mile to take care of my customers. There are still some good delivery people out there.

Just to balance things out Canada Post is no better. A couple of years ago they delivered a package to my house. They were very quiet as I was home at the time and heard nothing. Even the dog heard nothing as he usually goes ape when he heard any sound at the door. When I went out an hour after the stated delivery time I found the side of my vehicle caved in. It was parked on the street and I know it wasn’t damaged a couple of hours before the delivery time because I’d been out on the street seeing my daughter off to school and I’d been standing right beside the vehicle. Now I’m not 100% sure it was them but it’s a very quiet street with almost no traffic so I’m 98% sure. They denied it.
