If they would offer the loft in a much lower height, then I would have, at least, one 30mm in my den. Alas, they do not, so I do not have any.
I feel the same Celestino.
This is why I have sold all my Thäter fans and all the less densely packed Thäter I have owned, which felt floppy.
All the less densely packed Thäters I have owned all had a model name starting with 42. I have sold them all.
Not saying all Thäter 42 models are floppy, but I have owned a total of five 42 model Thäter brushes and have sold them all, because they felt too floppy.
I'm now focussing on 41 models only. They are not exactly densely packed, but they are very nice perfomers and I like them, when I get too much density in my Simpson Chubby and my Shavemacs.
I loaded a DR Harris Marlborough hard puck soap with a very soft 26 mm 41 model 3-band bulb silvertip, and it made the lather quickly with no problems.
Thäters are brushes, that I pick when I don't want the backbone of my other badgers. Thäters are all about luxury softness, a softness I so far haven't found in any other badger brush manufacturer.
I totally understand your opinion Celestino, and I remember a thread I made on The Nook a couple of years ago, that ended in a discussion with some fans of soft Thäters. I still, as said, avoid the 42 models as they all have felt too floppy for my taste, but the 41 models solve that problem. They are still borderlining my limit for backbone and how floppy I want a brush to be, but they still are on the safe side for me - and I always enjoy my shaves immensely, when ever I use one of my Thäter badgers.
Boring handle design ?
I agree, Shavmeac can make so many great handle designs, but Thäter only wants the same 6-8 colours and 3-4 handle designs from Bernd, but I can accept that, as I don't take more than 4-6 Shave of the day photos a year
