First shave in with Kyoto this morning.
The base is actually better for me, better slickness and slightly richer. Too soon to say anything on the skin care front.
Followed the shave up with the AS toner.
The scent may be the most complex, in that I'm getting whiffs of all sorts of things, one second this, the next that. It actually reminds me of walking through a citrus orchard back home in California. Maybe not what you're going for, but it really hits me that way and I dig it.
My only critical comment on the scent is maybe the nori is a bit too much. The organic citrusy bit it so nice that IMO it could stand forward even more. But it does seem that the nori is dissipating more and more with time.
As with most of the T+S scents, I find they improve with age, so day one comments need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Kyoto arrived in Indonesia a couple days ago. Took about average time for packages over here. I had one shave with it so far and it was lovely. I don't have a refined nose, but for me it's very citrus forward and hard for me to pick out anything else specific, though there is a nice green undertone to it. The performance is in line with the former base, which is good because it's my favorite!
Ryan @ Tallow + Steel, any idea when the others will be released in the new base?

Nice! Cool that you can pick up all the complexities. We definitely didn’t make near enough Kyoto.
As for more citrus - yeah a fine balance there. We wanted the Yuzu to stand out, but also wanted a distinct tea/seaweed note in there. But I hear what you are saying - thanks for the comments!

Thanks! Glad you enjoy it. No ETA yet, I haven’t really sat down to figure that all out. I will do that soon, and post here with somewhat of a timeline. I want to get them all changed over soon, but there are still lots of the current labels left.
Loving Sicily and Kyoto. T+S was already my favourite artisan but these new releases elevated them into untouchable status. Tremendous work Ryan @ Tallow + Steel. Cheers.
