Even an electric shaver can be considered "wet shaving".Yeah, I always found "wet shaving" and the more common "wetshaving" to be odd. People who use that term are immediately identifiable as traditional shaving forum members, as the term is almost never used by the general public.
I much prefer traditional shaving.
I think that you are right about "traditional shaving", too. Wetshaving could be any form of shaving involving water. I have seldom heard the term used to describe shaving with a cartridge razor and canned gel, even on the forums, and never to describe shaving with a wet/dry electric shaver. It applies to both, however. It is readily apparent that traditional shaving refers to old-school gear and techniques.
