i would seriously caution anyone buying a brush direct from romera

i bought an in stock brush around jan 16 and not only dont have it, but they will not even respond to emails to confirm shipping or give any sort of tracking number.

the status on their web site shows paid for, and that is it

i will make a paypal claim in another week or two

broke my arm the other day, so bad typing. sorry

Thanks for the warning.

I've read more than I can dismiss as sour grapes about Romera's customer service. I will steer clear.

Hope you are on the mend quickly with your arm.

I've bought two brushes direct from Gustavo with a third on the way. Guess I'm lucky since I've had nothing but great service from him.
You're right about his appalling communication though.

I bought my brush expecting a 3 month delay, and no communications. It's been one month. You need to know what you are getting yourself in for, before buying from some individuals. Not a very good business practice, but his brushes are in demand. I will be telling a different story in 2-months if I haven't received my brush; of that I'm sure. Thanks for posting.

He still owes me for a brush he sloppily made for me a couple of years ago, glue oozing out all over the handle, terrible work. He promised a refund, never made good on it and then wouldn't answer any emails. I would never do business with him again.

It wasn't just my brush either. He had a group buy going on TSN and several of the brushes turned out this way. As far as I know, the others got burned too and never got their money back and there have been other instances where he suddenly disappeared when problems arose. I asked the moderators at TSN why they let him continue as an artisan on the forum but they just looked the other way.

To clarify this was not a group buy organized by TSN but one offered by Romera through the TSN forums.

You won the crapshoot.

With the technology available today, buying from a global provider should be anything but a crapshoot.

Yeah. I sympathize with the people that didn't have success.
