Private emails should never be reproduced on forums, etc. To err on the side of protecting privacy is proper (and probably unusual is today's world)

I agree...if they are marked 'Private & Confidential', then they shouldn't. Otherwise it depends on the situation.

I guess the guy who shared that email probably decided that protecting someone's reputation was more important than protecting their privacy.

If I am understanding the situation correctly, an email marked "Private & Confidential" was sent to his customer list in an email blast?

Ive received a number of emails from merchants whose list Im on....never had one marked "Private & Confidential" .... I think some of the recipients
somehow saw the email as privileged information.

Frankly, it would have been better if they had just said nothing instead of... its not this... it's definitely not that... but Im not telling.

I found it troubling that they were painting this guy out to be some sort of angel, and appearing to protect him (intentionally or otherwise).
Edit: Although it can be argued that they weren't aware of his shenanigans when they bought the razor.

As a consumer I care about not just the products I buy, but who I buy them from. Apparently that doesn't
matter so deeply to RAW's fan base. Which I feel is a shame.

+1000%

I find it utterly unbelievable that anyone would have the expectation that an email blast to a customer list would be "confidential".

Seriously? We're going to keep hammering the same things?
Your previous posts don't prove anything, except for the fact that Avi's previous business venture was unsuccessful. Guess what..... most businesses fail! Plus, people who support a crowd funding campaign should know that there's a risk that the product might not come to fruition.
We don't know much else beyond that, everything else is speculation.
While you guys sit and complain and remain resentful, I'll be enjoying the heck out of my RS-10, so will be the others that purchased one Smile

You're mistaken, you can go back and read everything carefully again.

Maybe from person to person, but any email sent from a business to a customer should be not be protected by privacy. Never write a customer an email that you wouldn’t post on a public forum yourself. To think that your customers are held to some kind of code is silly. I doubt Avi intended it to stay private.

I think you state things too kindly....what is established is that he took $91,572 of other people's money which they want back.
The DOJ might be involved, and there's even talk of them launching class action to claim the patent that they allege he registered
with their funds.

Where that money eventually went, whether it was used in part to set up his razor business, we dont know.
Yet.

Enjoy your RS-10.

That's my point, we don't know. We don't know how much he invested in the patent, how much he invested in product developement, etc. We don't know anything.

You're telling me this was a private email to a few friends then?
