GroomingDept... Greatly appreciate your videos and sharing your experience after using the razor... It sheds a lot of insight about the razor and it's details... Thank you!
Same for Andy... Thank you for answering questions and clarifying certain points. We appreciate your involvement!
As for my initial thoughts on the razor (just what I've been exposed to via the forums)... First of all, I think it's badass! In fact, I'm excited about everything I've seen/heard thus far, with the exception of one factor. While I acknowledge that for most people this "factor" would probably be rather insignificant (as I have yet to hear anyone bring it up). I'm referring to the guarded blades not being compatible with the razor (at least if I understood that correctly from GroomingDept's previous post). For me, that's a huge deal, unfortunately! I tried SE artist club razors 2-3 years ago with my first experience being a SS Mongoose... At first, I was getting horrible shaves. I tried a couple other SE artist club razors afterwards and had the same experience. At that time, I had tried a few different blades but no improvement in performance with the SE razors that I had. Then I purchased a Colonial General and was told to try the Feather guarded blades... Bingo! A completely different experience for me 100%! The Colonial General (all versions) are now one of my personal favorite razors (and certainly my favorite SE razor). But funny enough, I went back and used the feather guarded blades in my previous SE razors and once again, it was significantly improved for me (in comparison to the other artist club blades, all of which left me with irritation). With that said, I have trust that Andy designed this razor to perform the best that it could which obviously occurs with these particular blades, for reasons I am unaware of (having limited knowledge of designing a razor myself) it does not include the Feather guarded blades and I trust Andy has a reason for that. Fortunately for most shavers interested in this razor, I don't see this as a deterrent for them. But for me, I'm more interested in the Titanium 2 razor!
