They are working on a new iteration of the Oliblade.  Hopefully, it will be out in December, if not sooner.

First shave with the medium plate this morning. Very efficient and smooth. I didn't notice any increased blade feel while shaving, but afterwards there is a hint of that very close shave feeling. Maybe I pressed too hard, although I was trying to not press, given the razor's weight. Like with the mild plate, I am very pleased and impressed with the M3teorite. I am also glad that I didn't get the aggressive plate because I know now that I would not enjoy it.

A member here is also a mild razor guy like myself, and he asked me some questions regarding how the M3teorite compares to other mild razors. As part of my answer, I shaved with 3 razors the other day! I used a Karve Overlander, a Karve Christopher Bradley with the C safety bar plate, and the M3teorite. All are stainless steel.

For my face, the mild plate shaved me very similar to the Overlander in face feel and efficiency and had just a tiny bit less efficiency than the C plate. The C plate had the most blade feel. I think the Overlander was just a tad smoother to shave with, too. I couldn't compare to a Rockwell plate, or to the Yates 921-M or the Henson, as I don't have those razors. So if anyone cares to comment, I am sure there are some folks who'd love to read what you think.

Just finished my lengthy trial of the Oliworks Adjustable Razor. 


My first impression was very positive. And the many shaves that followed confirmed that for me this razor is nice looking and very comfortable razor. 
My opinions/thoughts are the following. 
1. Solid and well made. Feels good in the hand. Fit and finish is nice. As others have noted. The adjustment knob is easy to inadvertently move. And the “dot” could be improved to make it easier to see where you are at on the adjustments. Small things. 
2. I used it with my current roster of five blades that work for me. And it delivered comfortable shave with them all. 
3. The system that I settled on with 
the Oliworks was setting 4 on first pass. Then down to 2 on the second pass. That gave me very nice shaves with little effort. At higher settings it still felt good. But I had to pay more attention. To angle and pressure to keep from getting irritated skin. 

Final thoughts. 
Nicely done razor. I am looking froward to the reveal of the redesigned version. If the changes are only cosmetic. And the dimensions of the head aren’t changed. It will be a strong contender to lighten my wallet.

Has anyone made observation Oli Meteorite is clone of REX Envoy? Saw this observation, wonder if true?

It looks like a clone of the Rex Envoy to be completely honest. I'm noticing a pattern here...

it is said imitation is highest form or flattery, the basic Gillette Tech design has been copied, cloned, tweak & improved upon.


But I don’t heat much crying about that.  Shaving Brush maker copy handle design frequently.

Again not much crying about that fact.

I’ve been waiting for this….it was only a matter of time before someone brought this up. 

Regardless of being a clone or inspired by this is a fantastic razor. To be honest I much prefer it to the Envoy. Oliworks has clearly put a lot of time and emphasis on face feel and how the razor actually shaves. That is what matters at the end of the day and along with the adjustable Oliblade these razors have fantastic face feel and efficiency. Looking forward to the release of the new adjustable, I will definitely be buying one!

I am very pleased with the M3teorite. The handle looked too knurly, but it is surprisingly comfortable. I picked up an Occam's Razor SE-noch a couple of months ago and that was an uncomfortable experience, do to heavy knurling.

Whereas the knurling on the M3teorite, while prominent, is actually very comfortable in my hands.
