It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...
Northeast, USA
A slight delay in getting the shave in and reporting my initial thoughts but, the exercise was done and completed to my satisfaction. First, I ordered the Meteorite with all 3 plates as can be seen in my previous post to this one. The natural Stainless look is the mild plate, the Cranberry colored plate is the medium and the Blue colored version is the high gap option. Fit and finish is very good that befits a premium feeling razor. The feel in hand is substantial but, not overly done nor excessive to my tastes & preference. The knurling is more than adequate providing very good tactile grip whenever one makes an adjustment in placement of fingers and soap running down the handle never provoked the slip and slide actions. Is it the best I’ve experienced? No, that honor for me belongs to both the Ti Timeless handle & the Rex Ambassador for their class leading ability in providing grip and superb tactile feel. Yet, the Meteorite is no slouch in that area and will suffice for the far majority of razor enthusiasts if not all. Blade alignment was precise and even all around and the blade was held with rock solid stability.

How was the shave then? Very comfortable, very smooth and mildly efficient as I went with the mildest of plates. How did it compare to recent shavers in my den? It actually felt very similar to my Timeless .68-SB and somewhere in between a 1.5-2 on my Rex Ambassador razor. Yes, it’s mild but, it has a very nicely metered efficient side that cut my 24 hours of growth easily in a traditional 3 pass shave. Just as I was thinking on my final XTG pass “it’s nearly impossible to cut yourself with this plate” BING! I gave myself a tiny nick on the chin coming around the corner on a semi J-hook slide. It’s mild but, it can nibble at you. That was on me totally as I lapsed and decided to go ham on that last pass. However, there was no blood, no weepers of any kind and absolutely zero irritation anywhere. The angle was virtually natural to find and maintain regardless of WTG, ATG or XTG passes. Rinsing the razor was a breeze with excellent lather removal and clean up was  easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy. I didn’t use the supplied Filoso blades that were provided and went with a tried & true KC Gillette Platinums but, I will give those Filoso blades a go once I run through each plate at least once with the Gillette.

Did the Meteorite knock my socks off? No but, it left a very nice impression on its first go. That can only mean that things can only potentially get better. And honestly, I know it will.

Great shaves to all…

GlazedBoker review was good, and the works were structured reminding me of an Fleet Streeter I use to work with when I was snapping for a living. Great review, and hopefully after a few more shave with what I like the call the OliWorks 3, you will post a few more remarks about you OliWorks 3 adventures.

I don't know how to contact the moderators directly so I am posting this here.

I wonder if this thread shouldn't be broken into two threads: one for the adjustable razor, and one for the three piece razor?

It would make searching easier in the future.

Great idea Whiterook. I did not realize I have that "power."

My M3teorite arrived yesterday and I just completed my first shave. I like to start in the middle. Plate 2 is very smooth and comfortable. The M3teorite is one fine razor. Just as comfortable as a Gamechanger, but more efficient. This one is a winner.

My M3teorite order in SS is showing expected delivery on Tuesday. I rolled the dice with a single plate configuration: aggressive. Gap and exposure specs don't always tell the whole story, but the medium .76 gap seemed a bit shy of where I normally would like to be.
