The edge polish is uneven, making it appear out of round. The dimple appears off center, but that may be due to the edge off.

Razor:    Oliworks Meteorite, medium
Blade:    Gillette Nacet
Lather:  Wet the Face Thomas Shelby
Brush:    Simpson  Tulip 3 Rusty Joe
Post:      Thayers + LBCC Bay Rum

The razor vacuums the cream right off my face, just like my Ambassador.  There is not much blade feel with the medium plate and my first impression was that it compares to the Timeless  .95 in efficiency but it's not as smooth. I like it!  The rest of the razor is really well done, but the base of the handle let's it down.

I'll see how it shaves tomorrow.

Just to be clear, this is a new non-adjustable three piece and not a re-designed adjustable, right? If so, is the bottom "gear" on the handle how you release the head from the base?

Thanks in advance for your response.

It's a three piece razor with three baseplates, each with a different blade gap. I believe they still plan to bring out a dial adjustable razor.

Just got an update on delivery. Should be delivered sometime today. Just in time for a Friday evening shave. Looking forward to giving the Meteorite a test run with its multiple base plate offerings.

I had an even better shave today given that the soap and blade are more my usual.   I think the medium plate is about like the Ambassador on three, which is perfect for me.

After seeing a post on another forum where the base of his handle was evenly polished and had no dimple I contacted Jorge.   He offered a replacement and I have accepted.

Arrived this evening with stand and all 3 plates. Bottom of handle looks fine (Just the slightest dot but nearly smooth and no problem here) compared to Dave's Whiterook Glad you're getting yours swapped !

No complaints here at all. Slight dimple at the bottom of the handle but, that’s just aesthetics and I have no issue with it. Everything else is done quite nicely & packaged with a premium feel. The presentation is not the most important thing in a razor package but, it shows that the manufacturer cares about their product and wants to please customers in the overall purchase experience. Points are always given there.

Shave to follow shortly….
