Only one way to find out.  buy them both Smile.

There is no stainless steel Hawk. Not yet anyhow. I'd assume that a steel head machined to the same specs would have a similar look and feel.

The first couple of strokes seemed a little rough, but that is typical with the Feather AC blades. After that it smoothed out and I had a fantastic shave. It seems that the best shaves for me in an AC SE are with the General and the Hawk. The least expensive razors seem to be the easiest for me to use.

I'm curious if the Brass General, and the Stainless Steel Hawk will have the same feel and ease of use as the aluminum models.

Glad it worked out---The general paired with a super is foolproof

I think IB sold a very limited amount of SS Hawks late last night and than took them off the website

I thank ATT is coming out with a aluminum SE1. I wonder if it will be close to the general?

Yes, a great combo -- in my regular rotation.

Oh, interesting! And I thought I was done buying new SE razors.

What I really want is an open-comb General or an aluminum SE2.

The General heads are on sale for $24.99! Due to increased interest at this price, we've extended the sale a week longer, ending on 3/19.

I'm glad I got my silver General head on sale. Great price, and a fitting companion to my black General.

I've been using my general with a feather professional blade for the past 3-4 shaves. I'm getting more razor bumps than I'm used to with my usual DE razors (tech, as-d2, baby smooth, att M1 calypso)...might be time to step it back to the feather pro guard or use one of the kai blades that I think Freddy sent to me to try..

I recently had the same problem with a Feather AC Pro blade in the General Silver. It had been a long time since I had any bumps on my neck. I blamed it on getting too close on my neck.

I have about 12 shaves on a KAI Captain Titan Mild blade in the Silver head now and have been getting very comfortable shaves. Just not super close.
