I’ve been toying with this for the past year or so. The razors I’ve currently held onto, that work well for me:
- Yates H and Hybrid/M plate
- Blackbird Brass (titanium is probably better from what I’ve read)
- Henson Ti +++ (Aggressive)
- Colonial General V2
Brands I haven’t tried: Haircut and Shave, Carbon, Timeless
Edit: Paradigm Diamondback 2020 would also fit this category.

This is a very interesting thread. I am not as experienced as many on this forum. But I find with razors that are highly efficient but have little blade feel (i.e. are less aggressive-feeling), I tend to over-shave and get irritation. That is why I prefer razors that have blade feel or have aggression proportional to their efficiency.
Granted, this preference may be due to a technique deficiency on my end.
The Blackbird, as AQU notes is a great example of this. High blade feel but I almost never over-shave or get irritation from it.
Edit: and to answer Tester28 's question: excluding the Timeless, I'd add the H&S NO75 and the Rockwell. Both of those have little blade feel in my book but are both efficient. Especially the NO75.
