Oh, I'm very well aware of the rabbit hole. I won't be following it. I greatly appreciate coffee, but my body can only tolerate so much and I'm very happy with the simple set-up I have.  Big Grin

Drop me a line if you’re ever in town and I’ll see what I can do. I rarely have more than one cup a day but it’s usually a decent cup.

The Aillio Bullet website spec sheet says minimum batch size is 100 gms. I haven’t gone smaller than 350 gms. I’m doing 450 gm (1lb batches) now. I don’t go any bigger because I’m not looking to roast commercial quantities.  One pound batch size works well for me because the green beans are sold by the pound and if I get say a two pound bag of something I can roast half of it and see if I need to adjust for the second half. Lots of flexibility when I get five pound bags. Once the unit is heated up you can do back to back roasts and things move along pretty quickly so I can do several different varieties in a short time. It gives me variety in the morning so I’m not brewing the same beans every day. I’m really liking the lighter roasts lately. I usually drop the roast 45-90 seconds after the start of first crack.
