for use with my trusty Bialetti Moka Pot:

What a difference from a local so called "artisan" roast (ground slightly too coarse).

Locally roasted fresh beans make all the difference!

For what it is worth, I do not find any difference between freshly ground beans compared to a vacuum packed brick of espresso grind.

I roasted yesterday. Here’s my setup. Aillio Bullet v2 using Roastime 4.6.26. Seems to be operating bug free. I’m not sure I like the interface as much as previous versions- adjusting power, fan and drum speed with a single +/- button necessitating clicking on power, fan or drum speed first while maybe reduces number of buttons, it can lead to errors. I imagine I’ll get used to it.

It’s fun but a little stressful. I’ve been roasting for over 25 years but using much lower tech and relying on sight, sound and time. I’ve had this unit for a couple of years and it’s like I’m a beginner all over again. Sight, sound and time are still the the important criteria but I’ve got way more variables that I can mess with to screw things up. The old school machines I used basically had on and off. This thing has more than that. Its induction heated and that gives a wide range of temperature variability.

Very impressive, Marko ! If I ever make it down to Calgary, I'd love to try a cup of your coffee.
Some friends of mine just introduced me to specialty coffee and I'm really enjoying the whole process.  Smile

Be careful, celestino, it can be another rabbit hole! I agree, I'd love to try a cup and visit with Mark. I hope you can make the trip sometime!
