What I consider a pity with the iKon X3 is that they muted it down a bit too much. The original Solingen differential slanthead as can be found on Lutz, Rondo, Romi, Pfeilring and many other razors had an aggressive (the "coarsely scalloped") side and a non-aggressive (the "finer scalloped") side. The X3 has this difference in the looks, and a bit in the feel, but not enough: the two sides are so close to another that many don't notice any difference at all. Kind of defeats the purpose of the model.
That said, the X3 is a rather nice shaving slanthead. Maybe a bit too mild for my tastes, but it certainly does the job well and without irritation.
