Nope. She produces but I didn't buy direct.
I ordered through the channel. ShaveRevolution to be exact.
I agree with Cincinnatus in that at the very least a quick "Thanks!" on the packing slip is very common and as mentioned something that I have grown to expect. May be too much but I actually enjoy it and many of the artisans and vendors with whom I have done business with for a while actually provide more personalized notes, as friends. I love it.
In this instance it was not even packed all that well and nothing doing on the note. I felt a little guilty stepping out from my preferred vendors as it was and the lack of personal touch just reinforced how many great retailers and artisans we have.

You know thinking back, I've used them a couple of times, and don't really remember anything personalized either. Never had any issues with packaging though, I'd be ticked about that too.
Doesn't help when there are so many that do take a little time and add that human touch to purchases, whether they're the ones producing the products or not. Could be viewed as nit-picky, but I'm right there with you.

Yes, to all of the above. And I have to say that my favorite soap maker, from day one til now, has always sent a sample no matter how small the order. Especially early on, when I didn't have a lot to choose from, that was huge to me. Aside from having great product to begin with, it made me feel valuable, and I think contributed a bit towards my eternal fanboyism.
