whiteboy_cannon, or anybody,

What do you mean by  "...full GEM blades..."?

Mickey

Mickey, this is a guess on my part but with a razor like the OneBlade, it was only designed for a certain type of Feather blade.  Some users of that razor, like Brian (SharpSpine) have discovered that by removing the thick spine on a GEM blade it will work and they actually prefer it to the Feather blades.  Therefore, I am assuming that what whiteboy_cannon means by "full GEM blade" is a single edge razor that will take an unmodified GEM blade.

Mickey, there is a blade made by Feather that will fit your Valet Autostrops.

There are injectors also, and by definition are SE razors, but they aren't users of GEM blades either full or modified. They are like coming from a different planet in the way they work and sound. That's the primary reason I have no injector razors; they're just far too "foreign" to my idea of what a SE razor is. They just aren't "right". :-)

Same here. I have one injector, a Type L. It is a far different shave, but I really enjoy it. It is still a nice rigid SE blade. I feel that it's more maneuverable than a GEM. You can just cruise around your face with it. All that being said, I still like the GEMs better as they give me a closer shave.

I have just recently tried my two Schick Injector razors. A Type 1 and a 66.

I was shocked. They are excellent!!!

I tried them on my four Valets. Horrible.

First shave with a new blade - forgive all nastyness.
Second shave with a new blade - forgive nothing.
Two strikes - and they are out.
Four strikes - waaaay out!
