There I said it! Smile I have been taking ill by SE Fatigue. I was very excited to see all these new offerings but they are basically the same with different looks. They use the same Feather blades, some are aluminum, some are steel, some are blue, some are red, etc.

It is cool to have all these offerings, but I'm pretty much exhausted of more of the same. Now a GEM style, ah that would be something Happy2

I just need an SE vacationBig Grin

You got your Supply Provision injector, that's different. I'm with you on the GEM style. The only one I heard about that I believe will actually be made is the Rocnel. We shall see.

Rocnel? That would be a giant leap. I hope they do!

Yeah, I thought I read in one of the Rocnel threads about something in the works. Maybe ckeskin can shed some light on the subject. Smile

I think Colonial Razors also said they're going to design a SE that uses the GEM blades after their other SE is on the market.

Rocnel is working on one. I am waiting for their first prototypes by the end of summer.

I would love to see some modern razor designs and functionality utilizing the GEM blades (just to be able to change handles on my GEM Micromatics would make me ecstatic). I'd also like to see more options with these Artist Club SE razors, because, as you stated, we're getting the same design with only minor cosmetic differences. An open comb or an adjustable Artist Club SE could/would be a step in the right direction...

Hector (hrfdez), I agree with you.  I have no interest in the Feather type SE razors coming out now so RAD hasn't really hit.  Now a GEM SE, well, that could pique my interest.

You know what I would love to see, though I know it won't happen? (The cost would probably be prohibitive.)  I would like to see a modern take on a GEM bladed lather catcher.  I shaved with my 1907 Ever-Ready lather catcher this morning and was rewarded with an amazing shave.  I love the way the blade sings like a straight.  As I stated, a pipe dream, I know. Sad

I have been thinking a moder se that took the full GEM blades would be awesome!
