I've got the razor in my possession. You know I was thinking the top cap was narrower in the other direction. I thought when they said it was narrower so more blade on the cutting sides was revealed.  I got an email a long time ago saying they would have an narrower top cap to go with what was in production and ordered at the time. Hmm I'll have to go look at that email.

The top cap that is already available is 18.80 mm wide. I was told the two bottom plates will be 1.30 (already being tested here) and 1.50

Well you can see the top cap I have the wide one is the one, as you say that's already available. They look the same to me from cutting edge to cutting the edge. But as you see the old one is wider the other direction.  Yes both of the pass around are 1.3 
  Actually on these $20 calipers there 18.93 and 18.92 .

First shave with this 1.3 SB I used to just let yellow and it went pretty good A little bit of irritation from going over and over an area though. to be fair the irritation was stirred up with the original version of the 1.18 because I'm used to a more efficient razor.
I think I like the smaller head version but the post on the top cap is still very short which might not pose as much of a problem I just feel like I would like it to connect to a handle better.
I'm really not feeling this razor much at the moment although I'm trying too. I'm really starting to appreciate companies that get a correct razor before going into production and having to make adjustments after they're producing them. This causes the first buyers to be guinea pigs and the ladder customers to get a better product.
The handle on this razor is all right, not much grip different than the original bit it's fine.
I'll give it another shave tonight with a blade that seems sharper for my liking.

I used a perma sharp Blade with the SB plate tonight. The soap was catie's bubbles with grooming Department pre-shave.
This made for a good shave, although it's a little bit more buffing and going back and forth over the same areas but I ended up getting a good shave. I used a TiBam handled because I personally don't like the handles or heavy handles in general.
I'd like to try out a 1.5 plate and would like for this all to fit up on my originally purchased razor but you would look seem odd having a larger top cap.

Last night I put a feather blade in the SB 1.3 plate razor. This blade upped the efficiency in the razor for me while using Wholly Kaw Siero shaving soap. With my shaves where I noticed the most difference in razors is under the jawline especially on my right side, so difficult.
This razor was pretty smooth add event free for the shave. I still like a little bit more efficiency I believe although it was not aggressive.
I've got a few more shaves I'll probably try the OC next and it will be a couple of days from now, because of work.
Just wanted to get the next guys address which I think is bobmsp if I'm not mistaken. I believe he let George go in front of him because he was traveling or something else. Maybe somebody else can correct me if I'm wrong or affirm if I'm right about that.
