I took a sampling of some blades I've never used from a few packs (To be used later in known razors) and will add a Pack of Pol Silver SI, Sputnik(gotta have some Russian blades with these razors) and Gillette Rubie Plus. I'll be using a known to me blade for the test shaves tomorrow, a new Pol Silver SI in each razor.

2020 Shave # 57 ( 475 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: START Razor 1.3 SB Prototype
Blade: Pol Silver SI (1)
Brush: Sprrentino Sea Foam
Soap: Strike Gold Nixon
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
Aftershave 2: Stirling Ramblin Man
Fragrance: Stirling Ramblin Man EdT

1st shave I went with the SB plate and while a large blade gap I had an amazingly smooth shave. I can't remember much about the 1.18 gap I previously used as I've slept a couple times since that pass around but it was my favorite. This felt good with more efficiency for the strokes. Video has more comments about it so will leave it to that while I get some coffee and cookies........

2020 Shave # 58 ( 476 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: START Razor 1.3 OC Prototype
Blade: Pol Silver SI (1)
Brush: Techichi The Hive
Soap: Strike Gold Nixon
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
Aftershave 2: Skin Bracer
Fragrance: Guerlain L'homme Ideal L'intense

Decided to go with the OC version of the START razor while I finish what Nixon soap was left in the shave bowl from yesterday. I was spurred on to 3017 what was in the bowl due to @Maryland998 's toughing it out 3017ing his samples. Way to go Fluffy !!! ?

Had a great shave with the OC and it was smooth considering it was an OC with a wide 1.30 blade gap. Nice shaves with both SB and OC. Would I buy them, sure. Will I or do I NEED to.........nah, but you never know when RAD will raise it's ugly head and push me over the edge. I've used it enough to appreciate it is a great razor at a GREAT price compared to others that are of similar materials. Well manufactured and engineered. I prefer the polished finish and feel the handle could use deeper knurling to feel better. I may use the SB 1 more time before sending it off to the next contestant. I did a video but really leans more to the other forum I'm on's audience as it's a way we interact there and didn't want to offend thos forums members or owners so I'm not posting it here. Have a great day fellow shavers Happy2

2020 Shave # 59 ( 477 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: START Razor 1.3 SB Prototype
Blade: Pol Silver SI (2)
Brush: TSC Legacy Brush
Soap: Wholly Kaw La Fougere Parfaite
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
Aftershave 2: Vintage Brut AS
Fragrance: Vintage Brut Cologne

Shot a video that due to tablet issues didn't record for some reason. Shaved with the START 1.30 SB again. Another great shave with no drama. This is an amazingly well engineered razor and very well built with close tolerances. I prefer the SB plate not because the OC is harsh, it's just as smooth. I just prefer not to have that rake feel in an OC if can avoid it. I also prefer the polished look over the Satin finish. Am I going to purchase one of these right away. Probably not but perhaps down the road. I would sell something to make a spot for it in the den. It just doesn't fill an empty need at the moment. could spend more time with it but know others are waiting to get a turn with it. I've had enough time to know what I need to know so it will be mailed out to rawfox1 the next member in the pass around. Thanks Gus for overseeing this pass and Thanks to Home Like Shaving for offering the product for our review. A special thanks to you for following and responding to comments made by adjusting things as you get feedback. VERY responsive and it will lead to your product meeting the wants of people rather than just being close to what they want. Have a great day everyone !!

Ok guys, first shave with the Start 1.30 and I chose to go with the OC. Outstanding shave and a step up in efficiency and blade feel from the 1.18 SB that I have. It has a similar feel to the Taiga with the OC plate on a similar setting, maybe 3 or 4. The interesting thing is how they made the head slightly smaller with this. I compared my 1.18 Start head and sure enough it is bigger. The older top plate still fit the newer smaller bottom plate and looked kind of weird. Anyway, the shave was great and very close. I will definitely buy the new head to add to my collection. I love the build quality of this companies razors. Very similar to a Wolfman WR1 and the shave is smooth just like all of the other Home Like products I have tried. Of course, I had to swap out the handle because it’s too short for my use but the head is great. Next, I will use the SB version and then, [Image: 7b30fbb3def949c51d5565b59ee46af7.jpg][Image: 392941bb738f815219c45326a5a6fdc9.jpg][Image: 265ed99f33438120f103e3a2ad8db34b.jpg][Image: 42d7e6eace144edbaa1fb56a577c9046.jpg]I will be sending it on to the next person on the list. Here are some pics.
