Just want to add that I've been having good results with a Blackbird Sabre. Surprisingly it has zero clogging problems. I think the rigidity of the blades paired with the firm hold of the razor are a winner combination.

I shave every 2-4 days, depends on my energy level or my mood.
I have a dense growth around my crown area so I need an aggressive and efficient razor.
My favorite combination is a Maggard Razors MR11 Stainless Steel Handle with a shimmed Merkur 15C head. Blade of choice is the Personna Platinum Chrome, soap of choice is mitchell's wool fat and the Brush is Maggard Razors 30mm Black & White Synthetic. I always shave before I take a shower.

Yet another update: Rockwell 6S works very well for me. First one that can pull cart free head shave.
I still think the HeadBlade Moto is the ultimate finisher.

I have shaved my head for 21 years... starting balding at 18... back in the say I would clipper it once a week and then shave it with a cart.....

when I started wet shaving 5 years ago it was a blood bath at first.... now I shave my head daily with my face. Doesn't matter what razor I use I can easily get a BBS on my chrome dome... but I attribute that to thousands of shaves and years of doing it daily. I never have liked the head blade, thought it did a worse job than a Cart back in the day and still think it sucks.... YMMV of course as many like it.

Agree completely. Never star out with the Headblade MOTO. Whether DE (6C/S, Fatip Testina Gentile, RR Mamba) or cart to start I always finish up with the MOTO. Glass like ‘ultimate finisher’ every time. Great little razor.

I've been using a Fine Bakelite Slant on my head the last few shaves and it's been working great. I use it go get the bulk off, and then finish up ATG passes and buff with a gillette guard. Buttery smooth!

I use the rr mamba or the black hawk v2. Both great shaves for me

I mostly use the Rockwell 6S for head shaves but sometimes opt for the HeadBlade Moto if I'm feeling like a quicker, worry free shave.

used a DE (ATT M1 Calypso) for most of my head shave last night..might be the first time I used a DE for a head shave...I think I tried SE and injectors in the past. the shave went fairly well, definitely slower than using a cartridge and I did nick myself a few times in the back of my head though. I finished using my schick xtreme 3.

I'll keep trying with a mild DE to see how it goes!

I use the Headblade, quick, easy, no fuss, no cuts, no irritation or ingrown hairs.  I did (and still do) use the headblade Lube, but I have so many good soaps.

The only time I use a DE is when it’s too long (8 plus days maybe), otherwise the headblade can tackle it.

I should note that I use the moto stainless steel version. I understand there may have been some complaints regarding the plastic versions, but the moto in SS is (at the moment $35 US) very affordable considering the cost of my Stainless Steel razors...
