the people who want one immediately will pay the going market rate though... James can fix this by raising his own prices and/or increasing supply.

There is a new post at the Wolfman Razors site under "Email Orders"
Basically it says most orders using the Google form will be accepted with some exceptions. The order process might take up to one year. Only one order per person accepted. Also James mentioned that occasionally he will offer items for immediate sale on his website.

After almost two weeks receiving an initial automated reply regarding ans order I received another automated email listing my order details. The email went on to say I will receive another email confirming my order and can make changes at that time if I want to. I imagine after that I would receive an invoice asking for payment and then probably another couple of weeks to receive my order. The process will probably take months but I am hanging in.

As the OP, I thought I should check in. I placed the email order about 3:00 Seattle time on September 6. A couple of minutes later I received an order confirmation, with a note that I should be receiving an invoice shortly. I got the invoice 20 or so minutes later. I immediately paid it.
On the 13th, I got a shipping notice. The razor was supposed to arrive today, but there was some sort of shipping snafu, stateside. I can certainly wait a few more days.
I ordered a WR2 1.35 OC with an 80mm WRH2. My current Wolfman, ordered more than four years ago directly from James, is a WR1 .74 OC with a standard WRH3. The price for the WR2 with the basic polished finish is a little more than twice what I paid for the matte finish WR1.
Good luck, all!
P.S. I should add that I think James' pricing, then and now, is entirely fair. He could have jacked up his prices, but chose not to. With his track record, one wonders about the pricing strategy of some of the newer vendors, with pricing from $300 (approximately James' price) to $400. Personally, I've kept myself to $230 or less, except for the $312 or so I spent on this order.
