Love AND hate! It all depends on the razor aggressiveness. Mild is perfect for feather. Bbs no problem. With aggressive razors, feathers tear me up.

Just posted the following in the “When is a blade done?” thread, and noticed that it is somewhat relevant here, as well:

Lately, I’ve been somewhat focused on Feather New Hi-Stainless blades. I’ve been taking them up to about 10 shaves. (My shaves are almost always two-pass shaves.) I’ve noticed that for me, the best shaves on these blades tend to be between the 4th and 8th shaves, so I’m glad that I haven’t tossed them after the first couple of shaves (which haven’t been bad shaves by any means, either).

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

I agree with other commenters. I get great shaves with other blades at lower cost. My favorites are Astra SP's, and more so Personna blue's. I get 5-6 great shaves from the Personna's.

I like Feathers in my safety bars and Kais in my open combs. I have tried so many DE blades over the past 40 Years and Feather is my favorite of the bunch. Poli-Silvers are great in my Slants.

One of my favorites. German Wilkinson Swords are fantastic too.

I agree with the sentiment here... I like feathers, but maybe not in every razor as well as the other.

It's probably great that it works out that way. How bored would we be if there was only one razor, and one blade, that work best for everyone and everything all the time?

It depends on the razor I'm using but I usually prefer other blades.

Love 'em. But that wasn't always the case. I tried them early in my shaving journey when my technique still needed quite a bit of work. My first shave when them was, to be blunt, bloody. I put them away for about 6 months. Over that time, my technique improved and I tried them again. This time I got a close comfortable shave and have been using them ever since. One issue with Feathers is that they are not a forgiving blade.

Feather is my #1 BBS blade hands down regardless of any razor I put them into. I take my time and they get results.
