My skin definitely prefers a SHARP blade.

The Feather is ok, but I prefer the Bic Chrome Platium. It comes out of the wrapper almost as sharp as a Feather, and quickly passes it. It gets sharper while the Feather is already getting dull.

If you don’t like the Feather you probably won’t like the Bic, but if you do, the Bic is like a long-lasting Feather.

I am relatively new to shaving with a DE. When I started out several months ago, I bought a bunch of Feather blades and shaved with them almost exclusively in my EJ89. Then when I bought a Feather AS D2 I kept using them. Now I have acquired a Rockwell 6S and the Feather seem harsh to me. I even went back to the AS D2 last week for a couple of shaves and got razor burn from the Feather blade. I switched it to my Rockwell for the third use of the blade and it really sucked, particularly in comparison to Astra, Polsilver and GSB. I will revisit Feathers in a while and see if things have changed as my technique gradually improves. For now, though, I am going to use other blades.

To me, the Feather is a one&done blade. Maybe the minimal blade exposure in the AS-D2 helps the blade last a little longer. Even in a mild Mamba though, I found that the Feather became uncomfortable after one shave.

I have one of the most sensitive skin types to the point that I could not even use a scented soap, yet when I prepare the face with a thick, creamy soap I experience less irritation with Feather blades as opposed to more forgiving ones like Astra, Wilkingson, or Derby. My vote goes to Feather!

Feather is one of my top three blades. The Wizamet Iridiums are my top choice and go to blade. I vacillate between the Gillette Blacks and Feather in the number two spot vs the number three. I find that Feathers last well for me unlike some of the experiences reported by other members. My supply of Feather blades was purchased many years ago and has declined very slowly with the other blades in the rotation.

When I first started using a DE razor I bought the sample packs like everyone does. The feather was probably the sixth or seventh blade I try. I was immediately hooked. It’s definitely my go to blade.

I have a thick beard and I can get about 5 shaves out of a Feather.

I tried Feather blade in various razors and it wasn't for me. Yes it's extremely sharp, but i got iritation from it probably becouse of mine not so good skill at the time. Now, i used it in Rocket and i'm getting closest shave possible, iritation free in only two passes. Only downside is durability of the blade...

Somehow Feather is not smooth to my skin. It always creates irritation in my neck areas.
