The OP has described it perfectly, use with the utmost care, particularly during the first use. I use Feathers with the Merkur 37C. With the Edwin Jagger, I find it difficult to avoid incidents, and they are just not worth the hassle. Similar or better results can be achieved, regardless of the razor, with the Gillette Sharp Edge ("yellows") and they don't require so much attention to technique.

The only blade I will use with any aggressive razor is a Feather. Aggressive razors with less than sharp blades lead to problems in my opinion. I always get better shaves with Feathers in my Wunderbar, Timeless 95, New, Red Tip, etc..

Plenty of other blades are more than adequately sharp on first use and leave Feather in the dust by the third shave.(02-10-2018, 08:53 PM)gLet Wrote: I use Feathers with Razorock Mamba and it does a great job. Regardless of blade I pitch them after 3. Almost ALL DE blades represent a good value. I'm not looking for the cheapest shave, I am looking for the most comfortable, efficient shave.

I usually pitch after three beard and head shaves, FWIW Feather might be sharper on the first shave but not better on two and three for me.(02-11-2018, 06:41 PM)jmudrick Wrote:(02-11-2018, 06:17 PM)Floyd Eye Wrote: The only blade I will use with any aggressive razor is a Feather.
