Hello everyone.

I’ve been wanting to talk a little bit about the Tibu Sabuni Shave Creme. This base first off is not like any other base I make and that includes both shave soap and shave creme. I just wanted to clarify that. The product was developed for people with problematic skin issues such as Rosacea, Acne, Dermatitis Stasis, Xerosis, Erythema (redness), Red bumps, Psoriasis, Folliculitis and general skin sensitivities.

The base is and will be an ever evolving base as time goes on and I’ll upgrade when I find ingredients that will only make it better and add to it’s existing benefits. This latest batch was an upgrade from the original batch for example.

I’ve been getting a lot of very positive feedback from customer that have one or more of the skin issues I mention. An that includes myself most recently.  I’ve had a problem with sun damage from all the years of laying out in the sun without sun blockers ( I live on the beach and boated for years ) anyway I’ve had to have spots removed at the Dermatologist by freezing, slicing off and when they show positive after a biopsy I’ve had to have surgery to remove them.  Well to make a long story short most recently I just went through a 20 day treatment using  Fluorouracl which is very aggressive and all I can say simply it was very painful and because I had such a large area that the Doctor wanted me to use it on I’d say it was like being tortured for twenty days. Oh and while I was on this treatment to add fuel to the fire is when I picked up the Bronchitis/Pneumonia so yeah it was not fun!  Thank God I’m done with the treatment and in the healing stages which can take up to 2 months. I did have some spots on my face as well as the big areas on my chest and arms and so shaving was very uncomfortable and only did it about every 4 to 5 days. Well I can say from experience both during and now in the healing stages that nothing and I mean nothing that I make or any other soaps or creams I used gave me the comfort that Tibu did/does and that’s all I’m using for now.

I also wanted to let you all know that I’ve been working and testing a post shave product that is developed for people with these issues. This is a team effort with a certified cosmetic chemist and a very high quality ingredient company.  We are leaning towards a lotion as we want it to lay lightly on the skin.

Oh and the Tibu does not have an added aroma ingredient but yet has its own natural scent that just comes from the ingredients within the formula.

I’ve been asked if I could add an Aroma ingredient into it and I can as it’s a Creme and I can add it at room temperature. I will say in my experience and opinion there are only a few essential oils I’d use to add a scent to the product that would either compliment or even add a little benefit to the product such as Natural Lavender EO, Chamomile EO or Tea Tree EO in some cases depending on the skin issues that person is experiencing. There’s a couple of others as well.

I’ve been wanting to explain this for a while as I believe it’s overdue. I know it’s a long read but hopefully I’ve answered any questions some of you may have had about Tibu Sabuni

Best regards

Frank

It’s a real difference maker for my skin.  I left a post on this topic under general shaving today… I’ve spoken to Frank a few times since January about what I have and how I deal with it.

Dan Law was generous to send me a lot of samples and Tibu stands out as a clear winner for my skin. No psoriasis flare ups, minimal folliculitis which was caused by not following my routine… it’s just a pleasure for me to use and the results are comfortable and enjoyable.

Thank you dtownvino - Mike for your feedback on using the Tibu. You are a great example of a person that matches well with this Cremes benefits. An you will certainly be a tester for the upcoming post shave product that will most likely be a sheer lotion.

UPDATES:

1. Ok so I'm back to work today and for those that have orders in I"ll try to get out as many as possible. Doctor told to not push myself for a week or so but I"m really far behind so going in for a few hours to get done what I can in that timeframe. I'm planning on going in for a few hours each day so for those that have orders in and especially those with custom orders  please be patient I'm doing my best. It's to bad both my assistants are out of town. My full time guy Skip whose is an old friend of mine is relatively new and had a planned vacation before he took the job, so he's gone for a little over 2 weeks. My part time assistant Paulie and his wife go South for 3 months each year so no help there for a while. I could have these orders filled and shipped out a whole lot faster if they were here.  I am feeling a little better and a big thanks to all those that reached out to me via email, pm or text.

2. I'll be focused on refilling inventory of Soaps, Creme's etc that are out of stock in the next few weeks.

3. Got some new Aromas coming out soon as well. A pure straight Rose is one of them.

Thank you!

UPDATE:

Well the top label for the new La Flores Collection and the first F Base Shave Soap to go in it. My graphic designer and myself zoomed today to complete it. As far as the Aroma blend goes it’s pretty simple.  Rosa is just Rose with no other notes I’m the blend.! I’m using a variety of natural Rose ingredients and I’ll post the full ingredient list as soon as we do the side label. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time as I’m a fan of real Rose.

I’m waiting on two ingredients to arrive and I’ll be making this soon along with the matching Skin Food Splash, Lotion and Serum.

Great shaves all.

As I promised I’d post up the ingredient list for the new F Base Rosa Shave Soap .

As you can see anything that’s Rose in this shave soap is natural. No Synthetic fragrance oils or accords. I made up my mind a while ago if I’m going to do a Rose Shave soap it’s going to be simply and naturally just Rose.

I’ve also made a decision to not only offer this in the F Base Shave Soap but I’m making a Tallow based Shave Creme as well.

Ingredients: Aloe Vera Juice, Bulgarian Rose De Mai Hydrosol, Stearic Acid, Grass Fed Beef Tallow, Duck Fat, Organic Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Cocoa Butter, Kokum Butter, Cupuacu Butter, Organic Glycerin, Potassium Stearate, Sheep Milk, Camel Milk, Sodium Hydroxide, Grass Fed Bison Tallow, Argan Oil, Orgainic Rosehip Seed Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Bulgarian Rose Damask Essential Oil, Bulgarian White Rose Essential Oil,, Rose Extract CO2, Organic Rose Distillate, Ostrich Oil, EOS Complex, Allantoin, Rose Damask Absolute, Oat Amino Acids, Silk Amino Acids, Soy/Rice Peptides, Hyaluronic Acid Oil,, Organic Vitamin E Oil, Sodium Lactate, Xanthan Gum, Lanolin,, Comfrey Extract Calendula Extract, Aloe Vera Extrac, Rose Hip Extract, tMilk Thistle Extract, Chamomile Extract. Capritolin (Natural Preservative)

Have a great Sunday!
