If you like 100% real Tonka Bean I think you’ll like this aroma blend of Tonka Bean Butter, My own Tonka Bean infusion and Tonka Bean Absolute.  There’s no synthetics in it.

Should be only a week or so before the release.

Thanks for your interest my friend.

A few posts back I stated that the Vanilla Safi was sold out. That was a mistake. I looked at my inventory on Shopify from my phone and it showed 0 stock but when I went to the warehouse I saw there was 1 7.5 oz and 1 4.5 oz that were on the shelf.

I also have two older plastic jars that were put in a a box by my former assistant that are both 3/4 filled that I never saw before. I called her about them and she said she put them there because those are what she used to make the 1 oz Travel sizes with.

So sorry for the misinformation in the former post.  When I go in to work I’ll update the store inventory.

Hope you all enjoy your Sundays. I know I am going to… Football, Food and a little relaxation.

UPDATES:

So as of today all the Vanilla Safi is sold out with the exception of the 1 oz Travel sizes.

I’ll say it again the only 4:5 oz size I see available is on the Pasteur Pharmacy website and I don’t know how many they have in stock left but I know they ordered 4 on their last order.

Just wanted to update this topic.

It’s been a great run on this Shave soap and Thanks to all who purchased the shave soap. I will continue to support your post shave products with the aroma blend being an option in the custom collection. Example today I completed a Vanilla Safi and Tonka bean custom Skin Food Splash and a EDP of Vanilla Safi, Tonka Bean and East Indian Sandalwood for 2 owners of the shave soap who wanted a compatible post shave products

Ill be on here shortly with an update on a bunch of new products that will be released very soon.

Great shaves!

Yesterday I found a jar of the..

It was mixed in with the Greenfresh inventory and thought if anyone who missed out on the shave Creme that wants it I’d post this up on here before I make it available on my website.

I will be making another batch down the road but have several other products to get out first so it may be a few months before I get to it.

SOLD.

Thank you David!

I was comparing my 2021 vs.2022 Rocnel sailor tonight. I used my ETHOS Gingerale soap and post shave serum. This is just a great soap. You don’t need to use a lot to get plenty of lather for a 3 pass shave and it gives great cushion and slickness. Not a Nick or cut with such aggressive razors. What great protection. The post shave feel is so soft but not oily. When I rinse my equipment there is not that sticky residual film. I am so pleased with ETHOS. I think if you compared the number of shaves you can get with ETHOS the price per use would put it better than a lot of cheaper brands.

I agree completely. I'm still on my first tub of Ethos Lavender I purchased two years ago. I use it regularly because it's my #1 soap for performance & scent. I began seeing the bottom of the jar a few months ago, but it's still holding out & hasn't run dry, yet! The cost per shave of Ethos is very low, & the quality of shave it provides is very high! Well done & thank you, Frank!

Thank you Mark and Dave.

I’m glad you brought this subject up as I’ve read reviews here and there along this short time I’ve been in the soap making business that ETHOS is expensive. I recently had a long conversation with a customer who has purchased a good amount of my soaps and what I didn’t know is he’s been documenting how many shaves he gets out of a jar of my different sizes shave soaps from the 4 oz, 4.5 oz , 7.5 oz and even the 5 oz Vanilla Saffi in the custom shave bowl which up till now is the most expensive shave soap I’ve put out and he compared the price per oz to some soaps that cost less and some that cost more which he also documents how many shaves he gets out of a jar and how that equates to the price per use. He also mentioned that he uses the amount that each brand recommends whether it’s a Pea size half an Almond etc.

I told him I’d like the figures so that I can pass the information on to my customer base and maybe through word of mouth people will think differently about the cost of a jar of ETHOS Shave Soap.

I’ll post up the final numbers once he sends them to me.

So my friends once again thank you for bringing up this subject up.

Oh and if anyone is wondering what the Ginger Ale aroma blend is, the blend is made using essential oils of Lemon, Lime, Ginger and a effervescent accord and right now it’s a custom blend I offer but it will be released as a spring/ summer scent.

Great shaves all

Thank you sir! I’m happy to hear your enjoying it. You have the F Base or the newer S Base in the shave soap?

Info:

I’ve decided to post up some info on a few things that come up in conversations with my customers and inquiring emails, texts, DM’s and PM’s I get.

This topic is about the new S Base. As many know when I first got started in this soap making business all the shave soaps which I now have named the S base or Standard base were on the soft side. Some more than others but all soft enough to scoop out the soap easily. There were a lot of jar lathers who would either message me or in their reviews on how they are jar lathers and wish the soap was firmer.  Well as most know I came out with the new F Base which is quite a bit firmer than the original standard base.  So now in case anyone doesn’t know there is a new S Base and it’s definitely firmer than the original and although not quite as firm as the F Base which specifically was developed for jar latherers the new S Base was developed for both!
It’s easy to scoop out a bit of if you like to bowl lather but it can easily be lathered right out of the jar and unlike a croap your brush isn’t going to pick up gob’s of soap. Just use it as normal but there’s a couple of things that I recommend that you do and don’t do. One thing is I don’t recommend blooming the S Base. It’s not necessary with this base. The second thing I recommend and this is a personal choice but I look at this way is we cure soaps to remove moisture so adding a lot of water into the jar kind of goes against that. What I do recommend and I do it with any shave soap not just mine is I turn the jar upside down so the soap is facing the sink below. I then take my brush and swirl around and load my brush until I’ve got enough soap loaded. Of course depending on what soap I’m using sometimes I start out with just a damp brush and sometimes a wet brush that I’ve given a few shakes to. Also like any soap I use I let them dry out for 24 hours after each use so I highly recommend doing that to any soap.

So as of right now the only 2 Soaps that are in the new S Base are the Succes and the Lavender Supreme, but a couple of more are on their way. They are the latest and firmest S Base soaps and also to make things easier all the 4 bases I’m going to be offering with the addition of the new Tallow Shave Creme have the base marked on the side label. So if you pick up an ETHOS shave soap on the BST or from one of my vendors just know that if it’s not coded on the side label it’s an older formula.

I think one of the main purposes of this post is to reassure all the out of the jar lathers don’t be afraid to pick up one of the new S Base soaps because you think you won’t be able to jar lather as normal and in fact I’d say it’s firmer than some other soaps I’ve tried lately so I feel very confident in this base satisfying both types of users.

Had to get that out there as it’s been bugging me that people still think that anything other than the F Base is soft like the original ones were.

In fact as a good example. I’m doing a collaboration with The Razor Company that will be exclusively sold on Jason’s website and we did a test batch of 35 jars using the travel size to see how his customers reacted to it and it sold out very quickly and Jason really liked it a lot and thought it was the F Base when in fact it was the new S Base. He was surprised and gave me the go ahead to start production of the full size shave soaps

I told him I’d post a photo on here as we are looking at this Shave soap, Skin Food Splash and Bath Soaps he wanted will be ready in about 2 weeks or so.
