Loved Princess Bride first time screened back in late 80s (and view it every time see it aired); was embarrassed publicly by friends as it not a serious movie nor one for a man but didn't care. This was movie making as Hollywood used to do in the 40s;, the kind that introduces young folk into the principles of Western Culture while entertaining and reinforces the values amongst the adults.
There IS universal right and wrong; denying it for the sake of inclusion leads to the death of society. Even with its faults and inequities, Western Culture has been the apotheosis of humanity; the alternative Eastern Culture attempting to supplant it will cast mankind into a dark age of universal suffering and repression for at least a millennium if it succeeds.
