Thank you very much for responding and many thanks to Danlaw for reproducing the ingredient list for me.  He is such a gentleman.  I hope the lanolin-free formula would become available in the near future.  This is the brand I wouldn't want to miss so I keep my fingers crossed!  I'm sure everybody else is enjoying this new base.....

Had my second shave with Ethos Lavender (Lisse) this morning, and it was excellent.

The presentation of the soap is top tier, with a very nice clear plastic jar complemented by a silver top - a definite step up from the other soap jars lining the windowsill in my bathroom and very much appreciated by me. Indeed, as much as I understand their utility, I have been disappointed by the visual presentation of the soap jars made by most of the top tier soap makers.

The scent was one of the best I have smelled in wet shaving - a pure lavender that was notable for how natural it was. It had a freshness that I haven't smelled in other soaps. I am not even a huge lavender fan, but this one will be a joy to use for the scent, and has inspired me to look into lavender EDP's even. It is calming as well.

I used a Yaqi rainbow synth with a pony knot, which is my favorite synth. I lather on the puck and, even though there is no room at the top of the jar, it wasn't a problem at all, some suds overflowed but it was fine. I face lathered after that. The first day I think I overhydrated this soap, and so used a little less water, and it worked very well. I would say that this lather is lighter than that produced by other top tier vendors, but very slick and adhesive. The shave this morning bore that out, as it was smooth and slick using my Charcoal Goods Level 2.

Post Shave - no irritation, and skin feels well conditioned and well hydrated. Between the scent, the presentation, the shave experience and performance and the post shave feel, this is a knockout soap, top tier for sure, and one that I look forward to using again and again. Will be one of the few soaps in my regular rotation. Well done Frank!!!

Thank you sir for the kind and encouraging words and I just thought I'd chime in to let you know I have more Lavender ordered from France and I've gotten a few requests for a EDP in this Collection and I'll get right to work on it as soon as the Lavender is shipped. Things are slow as far as shipping because of the situation but check back in a couple of weeks and hopefully I'll have some info for you on the EDP.

What a great movie!  Realize oriented to children but simply masterful story telling, acting and production values - even the soundtrack was amazing.  Of course, that it centered on overthrowing an oppressive authoritarian government had strong appeal.

WIth apologies for straying from ETHOS ... Some movies surprise us as their impact grows over time.  The Princess Bride is one of them.
