1) Disregard CBL Soap pricing and his sale pricing with regard to THIS collaboration which brought CBL's ingredients together with Franks EOS ingredients etc added to the soap. You can't compare apples to oranges

2) I'm not sure where you are getting your $20 cost for ETHOS soap unless you are comparing it to the Original Dragonsbeard (NOT the same and pretty sure he lost money on those sales)
The Ethos 1st release pricing was Shave Soap $36.00 Includes a free scoop for your shave soap
Skin Food Splash $26.00 (A set was $58 plus shipping)

3) If you want a set get it from Frank Dragonsbeard If you just want the soap you can use the CBL site

Hope this clears up things for all that are curious. I'd hate for misinformation and confusion to adversely affect a release for someone.

Simple math. ETHOS soap costs $ 36 (you wrote it yourself). Soap 7oz. It's not hard to calculate that 4oz of ETHOS soap costs around $ 20. That's why I wanted to know. Is ETHOS-CBL lime so much better than ETHOS? If it is 30% more expensive.[/font]

My apologies then. If you included your calculations it would have been clearer what your point was. Including all of CBL pricing kinda threw me off as it has nothing to do with the collaboration especially what Chris has on sale. Not sure what that had to do with anything new coming out....... I'll move on. Peace

To answer your question. There are a lot of unseen expenses that happened to make this collaboration work including Shipping ingredients, packaging and labels etc that determined that price. As you'll notice my Skin Food Splash price is the same because I had everything except for the scent. Also my original Dragonsbeard soap was $32 and as Dave mentioned I lost money on that based on the cost of the scent plus a couple of other ingredients. It was more about having some fun because at that time I wasn't sure I was going to get into the business of making men's Grooming products.

Also I'll add I think Chris's CBL Premium base was underpriced and he only puts 3 oz in his jars. He also added new ingredients in the premium base plus what I sent him.

Hope that answers your question.

I've used the ETHOS new line products a few times now, and I am really enjoying them.  I got the Succès soap, SFS, and EDP, plus a bottle of the Mysore Santal.  All the scents are delightful.  The soap, which is really a cream, is very easy to use and very effective.  In addition to a delightful scent, it whips up quickly, and is very gentle and protective.  The SFS products continue to amaze me - very kind to the skin, nicely scented, and with greater longevity than most aftershave splashes.  I am not a sandalwood expert, and the Mysore Santal was a new experience for me.  I bought that one on faith.  All I can say is that this scent is so-o-o-oo much more appealing than the sandalwood scents I am used to.

Kudos to you Frank!

Wow! I’m so jealous right now! Great photo!! Hope you don’t mind I’d like to share it on social media and on my website.

I’m glad you’re liking the products and I’ll add I’m a huge Sandalwood fan and it’s been one of my priorities to use Mysore Sandalwood in at least one of my products.  I’ve got a few more products on the way in the next few weeks.

Thank you for kind and encouraging words!

Frank

When will the normal site (store) appear? So that you can get acquainted with all the products and prices. That it would be possible normally  to make an order. Thank .

Do you plan to release 4 oz soap? For me personally, 7oz is a lot (I have too much soap).
