I couldn't wait and put a bit on my wrists.  For me, it was just amazing.  I think Shawn must have been totally amused when my eyes  opened in surprise and I just started smiling.  I don't know how he did it but the various accords work beautifully together.  I love and own several of Shawn's creations but he also knows if I'm not wild about something I'll tell him why.  Lamplight Penance is a winner for me.  Also, hawns, it was great seeing you and a million thanks for your gracious hospitality.  I really enjoyed Rooster in downtown STL. Ha, I knew going into it that I would get a very, very forthright opinion. So it was a lot of fun to watch. Also, it was a lot of fun hanging out, wish we could do it more often! I was telling Rod and Mandy about our mini-meetup this weekend while we were discussing the STL meetup and all the plans we've been working on.

Also, I did end up getting an order from your barista/hair stylist, I believe. Thanks for spreading the word across San Diego!

OK, Shawn hawns, so your upcoming new Skin Salve will be replacing the Post-Shave Salve and the Pre-Shave Butter?  I'm just curious, as your Pre-Shave Butter had been the only pre-shave that has worked for me so far.  To be fair, you have yet to steer me wrong!  I love your Aftershaves and the collaborations with Scott DeclarationGrooming, so I'm not too worried.  Wink

The problem is that the pre-shave is a two-day process to make and basically is a giant money pit for me. I originally was going to replace it with the skin salves (and to be honest, I use the post-shave salve as a pre-shave because not only does it work, but I also don't want to use up any pre-shave because it takes so much time and effort to make), but I started considering keeping the pre-shave. But the only thing is that it would have to be a very, very, very significant price hike as I can't keep a product around that costs me money.

So I'm kind of on the fence a little bit. If I do keep them around, I will also probably bump them up to 4 oz containers, as well, in order to further reduce labor costs for me.

Hey, no worries, Shawn!  It doesn't make any sense to produce at a loss.  I understand that.  I will just try the Skin Salve as a pre-shave once it comes out.  I'm not out of the Pre-Shave Butter, yet, anyway.

Thanks for the explanation, hawns!

I have really been enjoying the Fourth and Pine soap and AS. Will the soap continue to be a regular spring/summer seasonal next year or should I pick up an extra tub now?

Hi Matt, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I will bring back the Fourth and Pine in my product lines and would imagine Declaration Grooming would make the soap again next year, but because that is not my company and I do not make the soap I would not be able to tell you anything definitively. But as far as Chatillon Lux is concerned, my products will definitely be back and I would think it would be back with Declaration Grooming, as well, barring any unforeseen circumstance.

I'd invite you to consider the EdC, as well. I carry the bottle with me in my bag, and find myself spraying myself just for sport from time to time.

Hi Shawn, you may have addressed this question already but I couldn't find it - is the YRP EDT gone for the foreseeable future or will there be more coming? Also, will Lamplight Penance be at Top of the Chain?

Thanks Happy2

Pretty sure he said YRP was now a full time product. Probably a stocking issue in CAD right now.

YRP is permanent, I guess Top of the Chain is out of stock? I've got a PO I will be fulfilling, but I'm a bit behind after dealing with some health stuff for the past couple of weeks. And I'd imagine they would stock Lamplight Penance, but since that doesn't come out until October we haven't really discussed it yet. We haven't even discussed the August 1 release of Vide Poche and Eau de Treget EdT to be perfectly honest.
