That could be cool (I personally have taken to wearing unscented deodorant, as well, so it does not interfere with my fragrance), but I haven't looked into it to be honest. I wouldn't have the money to get FDA certification for any sorts of active ingredients and so I would worry about the efficacy of the products.

At the moment, I'm just concentrating on learning candlemaking, which seems like a pretty easy transition from the salve-making process and a bit more in-line with my current focus on scents.

Marko, I use the alum crystal deodorant, too, and really like the idea that it is odorless, for the same reason as Shawn states here.  I also like that it’s not an antiperspirant.  Finally, it’s the only deodorant I can use that doesn’t irritate my oxters.  Sadly, a Chatillon Lux scented deodorant, as much as I love a lot of hawns’s olafactory delights, would only add to that irritation.  However, a Chatillon Lux Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli candle while shaving with that scented soap, aftershave, and soon to be eau de toilette, well, that is something that holds some appeal. Smile

Well then, it's not official yet. But that's just because I haven't had time to mess with it yet, not because it's not going to be official at some point

I like the deodorant idea. I use Sudsy Soapery deodorant most of the time, after a long search and many products that just didn’t work, or irritated me. The SS deodorant just works. I’m pretty sure they didn’t go through the FDA process... Anyway, count me in as another who’d love to see CL deodorant!

Noted, but it’s it’s definitely not happening. I unfortunately do not have the time or the resources to make it happen. I think the fact that there are already good options out there means I should probably just stick with my business plan that I have in place.

Probably a wise move. You know the saying right? If you fail to plan you plan to fail. I think if you make a plan but don't follow it, its like planning to fail as well. Although....wasn't it Patton who said something like No plan survives contact with the enemy? My favourite though is Mike Tyson's "everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face." And he would know. So, look out for enemies trying to punch you in the face. Big Grin Fortunately we're all among friends here.

hawns Quick question about your new toner....I have a jar of your unscented balm and use it religiously. It’s been a savior this winter. I realize this might sound a little weird given that your scented products are outstanding, but is there any intention to release an unscented version of your new toner formula when it’s ready for release?

Thanks for making some of the best stuff on the market.

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I do plan on getting unscented toner and aftershave up and going at some point, but unfortunately it will not be at the time of the toner release I don't think. It is something that I have been wanting to do, however.

Why not try dripping some candle wax onto your armpits? When it solidifies, it’ll form a cover that will seal everything under it. If that ain’t an antiperspirant, then I don’t know what is. Cool

Made a trip up to Chicago today to Merchant & Rhoades. Great shop, great people and great scents. I was super excited to meet them.
