Is that a home made custom label? Doesn’t Mike’s have the most unimaginative labels in the world?

It is haha. I bought the refill puck and smashed it into an empty Colt jar I had. I doodled the label myself with paint markers to match the one I did for my Mike's Vetiver.

Offers a classic Bay Rum fragrance that does without cloves. It contains essential oils of rose, laurel and St. Thomas Bay, which create a warm and woody fragrance. The fragrance is sensual and masculine, with a light sweetness and spice reminiscent of traditional barbershop fragrances

Are you able to get a creamy lather? I tried 4 of the LpL pux and finally gave up..... Are you a lather whisperer?

I got the best lather ever this morning. Better than with Martin de Candre and Saponificio Varesino.

But I do only get good lather out out LPL, when I scoop them. Loading on the puck does not work well until now. But I don’t give up. I have 15 LPL soaps and love the natural and honest sentences.

The clue is to have a very well shaked brush, almost dry and then to create a proto-lather, which will end up like a shaving cream. Then add water as needed.

The LPL don’t like the water amount at the beginning. Only in small portions

I tried this one a few years back and was disappointed in the scent. Bay Rum in name only in my opinion. I’ve had similar experiences with a few soaps, notably the Obsessive Soap Perfectionist (OSP) whose Bay Rum smelled to me more like Probert’s Saddle Soap.  I contacted him about it to politely inquire if it was possible that containers had been mixed up. He told me plenty of people loved his bay rum and that if I had a problem I should piss off, or words to that effect. I don’t believe he’s around anymore.  Granted, he had a decent base but when you pick that name you set a pretty high bar as far as expectations go.  Clearly he wasn’t that obsessive or perfect…yes, yes, I should let it go right?

Lol. No, he should have listened to the Bay Rum savant. Those kind of guys will not make it. Case in point is Frank. The guy understands his base because he is receptive and does not let an ego interfere.
