I've seen this response before (not just B&M), and I do not want the answer, but I am curious why this number is guarded.  So, my question, with respect, is that of curiosity. I assume it's from the business aspect.  Why is it important to protect this figure?  Again, I'm not fishing, so if even discussing the motive is sensitive, I completely understand.

Going off the same vein, what's the largest order of a single soap scent that's not from a retailer ? I suppose it should be from the recent one off roam revival where someone probably stock enough.

Also something I'll keep to myself. Smile I'm fairly certain that the person or people (I don't actually know which order it is off the top of my head) who placed it wouldn't want me trumpeting that fact, you know?

Well, there's no need to give competitors any information about our sales volume and production runs beyond what's already publicly available. The shaving soap business is EXTREMELY competitive, so we usually keep such info pretty close to the chest.

It's a business thing. For one, it would give away not only sales volume but also sales figures in $. B&M isn't a publicly traded company nor has any shareholders to report to - and therefore does not need to disclose this information.

Very respectable answers. I appreciate the transparency - and my want for B&M to stay in business/succeed far outweigh my curiosity for numbers.

Agreed. I knew there was a logical answer. Given I don't run a business, I was clueless as to the rationale. The answer, of course, makes perfect sense. I'd never considered competition, because frankly, there's nothing like B&M.

When I bought my Hallows shaving Soap 3 days ago at Maggard Razors, they had 137, yes 137 in stock.

Guess how many Hallows they have in stock now ?

ZERO !

Also bought Leviathan shaving soap in the same order, and guess how many they have now ?

ZERO !

My guess is, that B&M have made between 1500-3000 Hallows shaving soaps this season. It's just a wild guess, take it for what it is.
I have exactly no clue, this is just a wild guess.

But if Maggard razors can sell out of more than 200 Hallows shaving soaps so fast, they better have more in stock.
It must be the best selling shaving soap currently in the world right now.

No shaving soap sell this many items in such a short period like 4-5 days are.
Not even DR Harris, Penhaligon, TOBS, GFT or TF&H - trust me.

I am also excited for Dickens. I don't recall an matching aftershave being available last year (maybe it was). And first snow sounds really cool as well. Who knows maybe Nocturne or Roam will have an encoure (I heard Roam was gone for good so that is wishful thinking on my part). I can't wait for the 2017 line-up to be released!

Just wanted to say I'm in love... with the B&M Seville which I used for the first time today. Next up... Cologne Russe. Hey, love is fickle.

So I usually buy the B&M releases from Maggard because usually there are some other items that I want to buy at the same time. Also, Maggard offers free shipping on $75 orders and they usually have a 5% off coupon for me. If you check my Maggard order history, they are all timed during B&M releases. Most of the time I get a B&M soap and aftershave which means I only need like 2 more items for free shipping. Maggard's free shipping/coupon deals combined with being able to stock B&M is a fantastic technique. I've ordered from Maggard maybe 8 times now... Not a single order was less than $75. Out of the 150-200 Hallows sold at Maggard, I wonder how large each order was. Interesting thought. Anyway, this weeks Maggard order was comprised of all B&M products. Should be here tomorrow!
