made a trade for some cologne russe in the glissant base. love the new label and the scent is pretty darn good. not as good as seville, IMHO, but it's certainly a keeper.

did a test lather tonight using my razorock plissoft. bloomed the soap for like 25 minutes (I forgot about it!), lathered on the puck for about 20 seconds or so and then palm lathered while adding copious amounts of water. pure slickness! can't wait to give it a whirl for an actual shave tomorrow night!

No need. We'll be making First Snow until March. It's the new Winter seasonal. Smile

oh, wow. nice!

edit: so fireside is no longer with us, then?

Uh oh! We got a bloomer! Haha I'm just kidding! I love the scent of Cologne Russe but have much more praise for the scent in the aftershave. To be clear, this is not to say the scent in the soap is not good, but I really LOVE Cologne Russe tonique. It is the bee's knee's and use it pretty frequently! Hell, maybe I will finish my headshave with it tonight! Big Grin

No more Fireside. Some didn't like it I suppose.

I didn't get the impression from Will that it was gone for good, but rather that it will be skipped this year due to the other projects. It is my sincere hope that it returns next year.

Only scents from Will i really (REALLY) disliked had been Fireside and Vetiver Santal. Maybe just didn´t tried long enough....? Well, and Adiago and Cheshire aren´t my cup of tea as well, but i wouldn´t say they mutilated my noise as Fireside and Vetiver Santal did, lol.

Vetiver Santal was great. It's vetiver. Not sure what else you were looking for there?  Confused Big Grin

Maybe it was that combination with sandalwood? I don´t know, but really put my stomache upside down. Don´t get me wrong, i am a huge fan of B&M, bests scents on planet. Night Music, Leviathan, Fougere Imperiale e.g. are my alltime favorite shaving soaps.

Fireside is not coming back. Neither is Vetyver Santal, unfortunately. Not big movers.
