One of my favorites honestly. Sometimes I just smell the tub. No shaving. Just smelling.

The only time I ever smelled Diamond I thought it was weird. What I got from it was dirt, grass and stale beer with grass being the predominant note. It's been a long time though and my nose wasn't as keen as it is now at picking through scents. I guess your nose may vary...

I usually describe it as a sweet Roam. I get some kind of caramel out of it right off the top.

But you're right. Different noses are going to appreciate different things.

Wait a minute... A sweet Roam? Man I really gotta try this now.

I have both Diamond and Roam and I wouldn't describe Diamond that way - there is the sweetness of, imo caramel corn and there's a little fresh cut grass (no astro turf here) a tad of what I get out of petrichor. I'm wearing Roam Kyovu right now and I'm not getting any diamond that I can detect. Its all very subjective.Smile

Barrister_N_Mann I used the 2016 Hallows today for the first time. My frame of reference for how it should smell is the 2014 Hallows as I was, sadly unable to acquire any 2015 Hallows Angry (still not over it). Will, my question is has the 2016 Hallows scent formula been tweaked? My observations are this, out of the tub the 2016 is slightly muted compared to the 2014 and in the lather I picked up a noticeable hint of the vetiver that I am unable to tease out of the 2014 version. Could this be a glissant formula related phenomenon or did you have to do something. Don't get me wrong, its not better or worse and I'm not complaining, merely observing. They're both great just to my nose, slightly different.

One other thing, how does it make you feel, knowing that you're enriching the lives of countless men and women every day? Few of us get such tangible feedback on the job we spend the majority of our waking hours occupied with.
Thank you,
Mark

I only have 2015 from which to compare, and I noted that as I used 2015 (presumably as it 'aged'), labdanum became more and more prevalent. This 2016 puck after a couple uses emits less labdanum (although still quite a presence). I expect my 2016 to age similarly. Additionally, my 2015 and 2016 splashes smell exactly the same (on my skin, that is).

Never tried Diamond, but having been to a few ballparks, the only thing I guess that is missing is the hot dog smell Smile.

I have the white label Roam. No, Diamond isn't a dead ringer for it. I mean that it's got the dirty, earthy component like Roam, and a sweet top note to it. Honestly, Roam is such a unique and difficult scent to convey. Diamond is the closest thing to a nice Sweeter Roam I've encountered.

PS: it's also intriguing to see how the same products can be revered or disliked. It truly is a great time to be a wet shaver Smile
