Sounds good. Do you have any idea what Waves will smell like or how the excelsior base will differ from previous bases?

I heard waves smells like some 90's Gillette aftershave (aquatic). Don't know anything else.

What I understand about Excelsior from testers: more straight forward when it comes to lathering (compared to resey), and few of them said it is even better performing. No idea about ingredients, hardness/softness, price, cover, whether it is going to replace any base, if new aftershave base etc.

I got a small sample of the Waves with my Hallows and to my nose the Waves smells very closely to one of my late 1990s favorite Drakkar Noir by Guy Laroche. My wife confirmed it Smile

Thanks @"iamsms" and ANG69 . I managed to find some comments on reddit with one fellow comparing Wave to Latha Oceana. I guess we'll have to wait and see after general release. I'll definitely give the new base a try.

Hmm, I could see this being the case, just because to my nose, the scent of Latha Original has a resemblance to Reserve Classic…

Yes. I definitely thought it had aquatic qualities. If I’m remembering right, there was a time when Wil swore he would never do an aquatic. Smile

The new EdT, the bottle and the box are amaaaaazing. Just what I needed for my Hallows stash, LOL. I have it in pre-glissant and glissant. I'm sorely tempted to pick up this set just for the matching artwork. :p
