Yeah it seems like a good idea at first but would become a mess. A year is a lot of time to change one's mind. Maybe they don't want a certain scent anymore. Or maybe they want multiples of a favorite... Lot of variables that will make this a stressful thing for Will. Seems like his current method has worked out pretty well.

Yeah, it could get messy but not necessarily. Make it open for a month only, january would be a good choice, and you can only buy all or none - you could buy all x n if you want multiples of all. Or you could just buy them as they come up. No refunds, no returns unless product is faulty as per normal policy. You would never miss a release and maybe even get a t-shirt that says "Its Not a Club"

Cheshire wouldn't be on the release schedule though since it's in the regular line.

I took his post to mean there's no defined date for Cheshire transitioning over to Glissant.

Will, so what's the deal with Beaudelaire? Is it waiting till 2018?

I was actually wondering the same thing.

Will has mentioned in earlier posts that the schedule for transitioning the base lineup that includes/is Chesire and Bay Rum has slipped - originally supposed to have been Q4 2016 but now looking to be some time in 2017. Not sure the issue, maybe he makes it in such massive quantities that its taking longer than expected to work through the existing inventory. The solution therefore, is to buy lots of it. I have 3 tubs of Bay Rum in addition to the 1 I'm using that is down to the ring around the perimeter of the tub.

2017...what a year!

Can we expect the rest of the regulars (Cheshire, Lavanille, etc) to also make their conversion to glissant?

They will, but I don't have a definite date yet. We're still having some trouble with getting all of the packaging changed over (pro-tip: Do NOT hire a professional graphics firm if you have any plans to complete a project in some kind of reasonable time frame).

And hells yeah to the EdT additions.  I understood there was a hang-up for that to come to fruition on a retail scale.  I don't remember the particulars, but I'm glad it was resolved.  This is a nice surprise.

1) Yes, the new LGC will use high-oleic safflower rather than almond, both for allergen reasons and for performance reasons.

2) Well, not quite. Both the Night Music and LGC EdTs will be of limited production, at least for now. Fougère Gothique is uncertain, largely because the fragrance is not yet complete.

3) The idea of paying in advance would very, VERY rapidly become a nightmare on our end. I'm afraid that our offering anything like that in the foreseeable future is extraordinarily unlikely.

It's coming. I didn't put it on the schedule because I don't know exactly WHEN it is coming, but I promise that it's coming.

We don't have any plans to bring back Beaudelaire in the foreseeable future.

It's more that the packaging is problematic than anything else. I always hear that corporate America is tremendously efficient. I can tell you from experience that this is absolute nonsense. The least efficient, most inexplicably-employed people I have ever met. It's like working with the Keystone Cops.

I have been busy today. I have a media closet crammed full of VHS, PS2 movies, DVD, HDDVD, Blu-ray, portable USB drives, and CDs. I have a collector problem that carries over from my comic collecting days in which I typically purchase 3 copies of something that I deem special, the theory behind which was that one was to open and enjoy, one was to keep sealed in case it becomes rare, and one to sell or give as a gift. Despite this rarely ever working out for comics (I only sold 1 comic and it was when the Deadpool film was abuzz. I sold a NM New Mutants 98 for $350). I spent the day cleaning out and reorganizing this closet. It's full of various media, memorabilia, props, and movie and concert tickets as well as an abundance of unopened SteelBooks that I will likely never part with. I really need to be able to dedicate an entire room to this stuff. Anyways, I found unopened, still wrapped in the tissue paper complete with red sticker, Hallows 2016 as well as the unopened splash still in the bubblewrap package. I also found and unopened Beaudelaire 2016 set still in bubblewrap. Given that these 2 won't be sold in 2017 or possibly ever again, I'm glad I have them. However, I still have open containers that I'm working on. My soap collection is so great, I don't see myself getting around to these in 2017. Will the soap and splash still be good in 2018 in the sealed containers in a climate controlled environment? I see people posting soaps that are 3-5 years old, and I always wonder if they've maintained their potency and performance.

That lineup looks very interesting! Will definitely be springing for the LGC EdT.

Am curious about Fougère Gothique and Eventide, I presume you don't want to give away a scents list for business reasons but can you give us any hints about what those two will smell like?
