Look, I happen to have a very sarcastic and sometimes irreverent sense of humor, but I try very hard to keep it toned down on DFS. There is no sarcasm font. I also try to remember that we have a very diverse community here. English is not necessarily the first language of any particular member. We have members from all walks of life. There are a vast number of cultures represented here not only from the U.S.A., but from all over the world. There are many generations represented here, as well. I feel that this diversity is a wonderful thing. We are all so different, but we also all have an interest in traditional wet shaving.
I believe that if one is going to post something with the thought, "Well, this ought to get a rise out of somebody!" then I think you should:
1. Chuckle to yourself.
2. Back away from the keyboard/phone/tablet
3. Move on
If you are able to complete #1 on that list and refrain from posting, great! If not, please continue and complete steps #2 & #3 above.
Please note that this post is not directed to any one person in particular. It is meant to maybe help some people see things from a different perspective.
Well said Blade4vor , I agree completely. While humour is universal, it comes in different forms and is as diverse as people are. Very little of it translates well to the electronic written media format and we're all far enough down the information highway to know this.
