Yee haw, finally had a BBS shave with this razor.  Took me five shaves to get there, but now we're on board.  Looking forward to seeing what improvements can be made with one of the blades Dave sent me.

With seven shaves down I'm now sure that this Asylum Injector will become a part of my permanent rotation.

Now I need to see how I'll feel about the Asylum RX v2.

Second shave with this razor (same Schick B-20 blade) and haven’t shaved since my first shave with it on Monday and today was fantastic. This thing felt much more dialed in with the UFO fatty Ti handle. BBS achieved with two passes and some touch ups.

A few things jumped out about this razor that make it special. It’s ability to go against the grain under by chin and neck and still remain super smooth, something that I’ve never experienced with an SE and only achieved by the Paradigm 17-4 and the RS10. Also, never felt any tugging which I usually experience with every AC razor I’ve used when shaving more than a couple days growth. The sweet spot angle is somewhat narrow for me but this handle helped find and hold it and I’m thinking future shaves will be even better.

Anyways, this razor is definitely a keeper and now my morbid curiosity is really pushing me to pickup the RX AC version as well, haha.

I get fantastic shaves with it.  8-10 hours BBS.  I need to be careful near the mustache, it can get me a little too close.

As far as efficiency, Actor07 said it best, a little more efficient than the original BBS-1.

I suppose this will be the last shave for this current rotation with the Asylum Injector.  Normally I stick with a razor/blade combo until the blade gives out or seven days, which ever comes first.  This is my eighth shave in a row and I have no idea how long a SE blade will last for me, but I'm ready to move on.  It was a great ride and now it will go back into its box for safe keeping until next time.

On a separate note.  I've been thinking about the name, Asylum Injector.  Phil should have named this razor the Asylum SEi or Asylum RXi.

I've had a couple of shaves with the Asylum Injector this week. As I said before, the AC razors that I've tried, I never could get to work. I'm hoping if I give this one some time, I can make it work for me.

The two shaves that I've had were just "ok", close to BBS in some areas, but mostly DFS, but with some significant weepers here and there, and some irritation. I haven't been able to get the angle quite right. Sometimes, all I feel is the blade about to cut into the skin, other times it seems super smooth. I assume that everyone rides pretty close to the cap with this one, but I would like some confirmation of that from the experts here.

It has taken me a while to get my technique down for the DE razors that I use, so I'm guessing it may take me a while with this one. I've been using the Schick B-20s that I ordered with the razor, so maybe a different blade could change things somewhat.

That's where I am so far, not quite the results most are getting, but I am hopeful that I can improve with some time.

Definitely try another blade before giving up. The Schick yellow package is a good one. Amazon has a 4 pack of 7 (28 blades)for @20 dollars free shipping

Scratch that, the seller is misleading things with the picture and description. Sent 1 pack of 7 blades for theprice and they don't do refunds. I contacted customer service t get my refund hopefully. Time will tell but RUN don't walk from that seller showing 4 packs in the picture......

I found that I get the best shaves holding the razor using the lightest grip I can and just let the weight of the razor do its thing.  My first two shaves weren't that great and the stubble showed up hours earlier than normal.  The third shave showed me I had some new trouble spots, notably across my throat.  By the fourth shave it was smooth sailing and all using the Proline B-20 blades.  I'm actually getting smoother, longer lasting BBS shaves than I was with my DE razors.
