Scentsless Shaver

I get it, ewk, I really do. I put a two-drawer wire rack thingy under my sink. Up until this year, it easily held all my gear. Now, I have removed everything out of a "men's accessory" contraption and filled it with all my razors. Yup, all, I say. I went from having 3 DEs and 6 brushes to...to..., well, To Infinity And Beyond!

One day at a time, one week, then one month. I can do this! My last purchase arrived today, and an early DecemBoar purchase from Connaught (the much-vaunted Omega Jade boar) has been "dispatched," but no idea where it currently is. Peter at Connaught told me I need to wait 50 days before it can be called lost. That is the end of January. I am hoping I receive a nice surprise sometime in January, to sort of wean myself from acquiring more brushes!

Here on the East coast, there's only 5 hours and change left for purchases! What's in your basket, mrdoug?!

Just joking! I want to break the buying cycle and make it more fun to plan a purchase!

Nothing... it's four hours now... and I may or may not be breaking a sweat trying to keep it that way. Must not shop, must not look.

That's an interesting thought on excessive gathering. It brings up another worry... transposing one purchase spree for another. Not that I have another hobby, persey, but I could easily invent one if I'm not mindful.
I was thinking the exact same thing - what good is it if I cut back on shaving related spending if I just jack spending in some other discretionary category??

I'm already eyeing a new Chainsaw........

Aah, Husqvarna or Stihl possibly?

DEFINITELY a Stihl man although my weed eater is a Husqvarna. Love and beat to death my MS170 that does bigger stuff than it should. Looking at the MS271 Farm Boss as the probable. Little more researching first. Big Grin

I like this idea! Swap, share, lend, gift, etc. We don't have rules, just restraining from buying more stuff. I won't ask anyone for anything, but I am more than willing to share, swap, trade, or lend.

Hmm, we could trade gift cards for shaving products.
I think I might be thinking of this loophole now.

Sounds good, probably auto tune or whatever  they call it in Stihl. I've got dad's old 026 Stihl, it's strong. Husky here too though, little 445.

Carry on guys, I thought I saw a shiny thing.
Didn't mean to get this train off the track.

Good luck with the restraint.

From Geddy Lee's 2000 album My Favorite Headache is the song "Home on the Strange" with this lyric:

He Sleeps With A Chain Saw
Got Eyes Like An Outlaw
He Takes A Two Smoke Walk
He Don't Like To Talk
And He Don't Like Change
And He Don't Like Change
You May Think He's Deranged
But He'd Rather Be Home
Home on the Strange
