Сергей Новицкий question for you...

Putting your user name into Google Translate, it comes up with Sergei. Presuming your userid is your name, is that the proper translation from Cyrillic to English?

Sorry to ask, it's very hard to type Сергей into my keyboard (without copy/paste).

Edit: Additionally, if all of the above is correct, may we call you Sergei? Thanks.

Aah, Husqvarna or Stihl possibly?

DEFINITELY a Stihl man although my weed eater is a Husqvarna. Love and beat to death my MS170 that does bigger stuff than it should. Looking at the MS271 Farm Boss as the probable. Little more researching first.  Big Grin
MS311 here and it’ll eat wood.  You’ll like that MS271

Day 1... I'm already not doing well. The sweats have come on. I can feel the tremors as well. My mouth is dry and I keep seeing phantom '50% off signs' floating in the air. My cat just offered me a buy one get one free deal, on what I don't know. I think I have to take it.

So, a little before midnight I pulled the trigger on two small purchases. Nothing huge just a soap I was discussing with Frank and a preshave bar I wanted to try.

So, while I won't be shopping, I'll be receiving for the next few days (still have some other outstanding goods from the week - a travel case, a bowl, a drill bit - thanks for the tip Paul, and a knot). Also, I have the brush project to finish up and the bowl will need a sealing.

I suspect the most painful part of the sabatical will come AFTER everything outstanding is received, and possibly when the projects are complete. That's when I'll be looking for "more" and have to use the most restraint. I think these projects will be a big help on not looking for the next "toy".

Additionally, another distraction for us might be inventing some projects. Brush cleaning day? Sort and organize your extra stock? That sort of thing. I suspect it's idle hands that are most apt to click "Proceed to Checkout".

Happy New Year folks. Hope everyone is well.

I KNOW, right?!

Having just finished (successfully!) a No Buy 2021, definitely not in for January 2022. Have an EdP or two that's tickled the itch.

I'll be in for a DFR another month or few later in 2022.

One thing the NB'21 did accomplish for me....realizing how I overspent in '19 & '20 on shaving creams/soaps. It really lasts longer than you think.

Well Wishes to everyone! It is a challenge for sure with all the smell 'um goods and shiny razors available!

Just before the fireworks went off last night, I slipped in a few bottles of bay rum aftershave. Marko will understand.

Good luck to you all!
