Well, once you get your refund at least it will all be over.  There are and will be other choices out there.

the refund has been processed.

Weird. I wouldn't have expected a free razor. Shipping each way and hopefully an apology, but at this point the blush is of the rose.

I have like 9 blades left from the first razor they sent me...opened box so they probably don't want them back. that said, when they sent me the fedex return label today for the second razor, they specified that they'd like the blades back.

Tod offered me some extra blades and accessories along with a new razor without refunding the money. truth be told, I don't need any accessories and sending a few packs of blades doesn't make up for sending me 2 defective luxury razors and having downright awful customer service. sorry, but if I go into a Porsche dealership, I expect top notch quality from start to finish, period! that's how they've been marketing their razor. why drive a chevy when you can ride a porsche or some other luxury car?!

Andrew, was there any mention of those aforementioned patents during your call today? I received an e-mail from OneBlade today about the opportunity to order one of 100 “early  access” razors, but nowhere in that message was there mention of any changes to the original design…

Sorry to hear that the company was not willing to take any extra steps to ensure a happy customer. That’s disappointing.

Tod mentioned something about free floating blades in the OneBlade head. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but he said it should offer a more forgiving shave.

Thanks for the info. This sounds like a “time will tell” type of situation … and it also sounds like quite a curious idea.

The OneBlade doesn't need a change to be able to use the despined Gems - it works fine with them.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they modified the razor so Gems won't work.

if that's the case restricting people from using their preferred blade, also shady quality finish and blade bending along with 300 price tag... No one should be surprised if the company goes belly up

This is what I've been saying could be the reason for the new design.

What OneBlade does really well is tell a good story. Sadly, it is much like the Wizard of Oz and execution is pathetic. The CEO claims he has much experience in manufacturing, though he very much comes across as an amateur to me.

They have some pretty well written marketing material that targets wealthy men that currently use cartridge razors. That demographic won't know better.

I suspect their effort will go their. They are quickly learning that the Wizard of Oz act doesn't work here.

Pete, there are some experienced shavers, such as myself, that appreciate what OneBlade has done and the product it produced.

Having wet shaved almost exclusively for over 40 years, and having well over a hundred razors, (and many more over the years that I no longer have) my experience is that the OneBlade may not be an expert's tool, but it flat out works in giving a very close, irritation-free shave with virtually no attention to technique.

And the build quality on the two I own, as well as the several I have given as gifts, is perfect. It's hard to compare it to other razors, as the OneBlade is unique in that it pivots, but it's better in build quality than almost all of the razors I have.

While I lament Andrew's experience with the company, and think they should have sent him a razor as well as a refund, it's perhaps a bit harsh to imply that the enterprise is an Oz-like scam catering only to the inexperienced.

One of the things that drew me to wanting the OneBlade was their pivoting head innovation in a modern SE razor. That's one of the things I miss with cartridge razors.

Oh well...I tried and now I'm moving on to different razors.
