I did not. I actually just opened this page to update the lack of response. I just now sent another "contact form" letting them know that if I don't hear back soon I'm going to open a case through my credit card company, and post about OneBlade's lack of customer support regarding their defective product. I'm guessing you haven't received acknowledgment either?

Nope! I'm about to tweet them.

Well, I'll have to say that I'm disappointed that they haven't been more responsive.

FYI, checked my SN this evening and it is A0004032 and no sign of blade smile. I do find it surprising based on previous reports how delayed their response is...

I don't like the no phone number at all. I'm curious as to why everything is listed in Florida when their website says Austin, TX?

grim , you are one of the best Internet researchers I know - I never would have found that.

From looking at the terms and conditions on their website, I see they are a Florida company doing business in Austin, TX. I also saw where they say they'll respond in 1-2 days.

RSP1 , it isn't uncommon for companies to get set up legally in one state and do business elsewhere.

The Texas address is:

506 East Saint Elmo Road
Building 1-A
Austin TX 78745

I can usually find a phone number and can't find one, making me wonder if they are running their business on their cell phones.

I agree with you about the phone number. I run my business on my mobile, which is posted everywhere on the Internet I can post it as I want customers to be able to find me.

if there wasn't a 30-day return window, I'd be more relaxed, but with such a short time to try the razor, I want to use a razor without any QC issues.

I tweeted them and sent them a message on facebook. 0 response or interactions thus far. highly disappointed.

That is disappointing. I wonder if they are frantically going through their current stock to see if all the razors have the issue — all while trying to formulate a response to those who have raised concerns.

As I was trying to search the web for more information on this matter, I came across this post on another forum, and thought that if it’s OK, I’d paste it here, since it pertains to the matter at hand.

Quote:I got a replacement, and it was definitely smiling.  I got ANOTHER replacement, but that was when they told me that they looked at the second razor, and the smile that I see is intentional and part of the design.  Looking at pictures from this journal, it looks like earlier razors don't have the smile with feather blades.  Another user has mentioned that he has a smile with feather blades as well.

So, it is unclear whether this is a change in design or a product of degradation of their molds given their production process.  But, having personally had 3 razors with serial numbers in the 4,000-8,000 range, I can definitely say that feather blades smile.

With all that said, it definitely gives me the best shave of any razor and I think it is brilliant.  If anything, the smile would reduce the blade gap and makes for a milder shave but I don't think it is too mild.  I do find that modified gem blades sit the same as the feather blades, and personally give me a better shave.  They also last significantly longer.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they get back to you tomorrow and say that the blade smile is completely normal, and part of the design. Did anyone send them pictures of a OneBlade that does not have the Feather blade smile?
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Can you link to that thread?

I can't possibly see how a smiling blade is intentional.
