I actually dropped my version 1, bent the head, got supremely pissed and abandoned the oneblade altogether.  Anger gone, grabbed a version 2 and was reminded of why I bought my Oneblade in the first place.  Still gives effortless BBS shaves every time.

Had you never considered contacting the company to see if they would have offered a replacement or a discount on another one?

You guys are right. I was being completely silly there for a moment. I apologize. Now back to looking at new shaving gear…

No for two reasons. The first is pretty easy, I dropped it fair and square. I understand that Oneblade has in the past provided discounts when this occurred which leads me to reason two. At the time when I dropped it, they were offering refurbished and first runs with a new manufacturer with questionable QA. I was pretty pissed at what I did and what was being offered at the time so I went back to my tried and true DEs. It was costly but in this case it was all me and I'm pretty happy with the new version. It appears to cut closer and my old one had an ever so slight smile. I think the new design is far far better and if you go through Sharpologist you can get one for the price of the old one (I did at least) actually a tad cheaper since they throw in some stufff.

I'm considering returning my new OneBlade as I'm still in the 30 day window. It's a nice shaver but I don't think it's bringing anything better to the party for its price. Maybe it's me or my face but I always get a hint of irritation after using it. After ditching my Mongoose some time ago it's hard to go back to a large broad flat head design. I still have a few days to decide so I'll see how the next few shave are.

I'll have to hand it to the OneBlade for a great shave.

I have to be up early tomorrow and have meetings tomorrow afternoon. So, I broke out my V1 Stainless and some Stirling Gentlemen. I can't even feel stubble going against the grain on most of my face. A couple of more touch-ups and it would be that way with 95% of my face. I was aggressive and had a couple of weepers, though tomorrow afternoon, I'll look like I shaved first thing in the morning!

qVAMPIREp mentioned in the Core thread that he would like a stainless Oneblade @$200.

I recall that they used to have the V1 on sale for $200 all the time. Has anyone seen sales on the V2? I seem to recall seeing a sale for $300 for the V2. I would be rather surprised to see the V2 for $200, though I agree that cost should be in that range.

There used to be a lot of OneBlades on eBay, though the only ones I saw cost more than what OneBlade charges with the Sharpologist special.

Has anyone tried palm stropping a Feather after a couple of uses to see if it extends the life?

I tried palm stropping it a couple of times, out of the 8 shaves I got with my first Feather blade. I'm not sure if that helped but I moved on to a second blade now to see if I can get similar results. Maybe this time I won't palm strop it to see if that makes a difference. As far as the shaves, I'm getting DFS results which I'm happy with.

I actually really like my oneblade - even though I don't 'want' to.... The blades are rare and more expensive, the handles can't be swapped - but it gives a wonderful shave!

Based on my experience with the Core, I did order a new Genesis that I received and been using the last 3 days. In a way it is frustratingly easy to get shave results that have equaled or surpassed the results from my other razors with no real skill involved. Don't get me wrong I will still use my Cobra, Wolfman or Timeless but for a drama free super quick and close shave the Genesis is hard to beat.
