Ok I’m gonna admit I’m jealous! You AJ and Mark have all had shaves with the Yates and I’ve only got a handle and Top Cap! Lol
JK of course!

We also offer a brass HYB(Hybrid) plate that has the same geometry as the M plate, but one side is open comb and the other has the scalloped safety bar. Finally, we have a more aggressive H(High-Level) plate.

-M
Gap .025"
Exposure-Neutral

-HYB
Gap .025"
Exposure-Neutral

-H
Gap .040"
Exposure-Positive

We are also planning an EH(Extra High-Level) plate for the near future, as well as offering all of the above in both Hybrid versions and full open comb versions. I hope that answers your questions, and feel free to reach out with any others!

-Jake

Would be handy to have this in mm for comparison purposes.

0.025" = 0.63mm
0.040" = 1mm

How much positive exposure on the H plate Jake?

Razor: Yates Precision 921-H Plate (V1 Top Cap)
Blade: Wizamet (1)
Brush: Elite Razor Stone/SHD Knot
Soap: Zingari Man The Soloist
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Nivea 2 into 1 Splash

So my new Brass Handle came in with the new cap. I wanted to try another shave to refresh my memory of the V1 cap before trying the new one to compare. I will say the when I took the 1st few strokes after using the H&S N075 razor the past few shaves my thought immediately was I feel the blade more with the H plate and that's to be expected since it is blade exposure positive verses the H&S being neutral. That said it was smooth and comfortable while accomplishing more with fewer strokes. I definitely prefer the Yates over the H&S N075 "for me". I'm looking forward to trying the new cap with tomorrow's shave. Have a great day and weekend DFS !!
Pic was taken with the new cap before calling an audible switching to the V1 for the shave.

Razor: Yates Precision 921-H Plate (V2 Top Cap)
Blade: Wizamet (2)
Brush: Eric Sorrentino Orange Crush/Cashmere
Soap: Lakewood Soap Smokeberry
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Skin Bracer
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Endymion

After trying another razor for a few shaves and then returning to the Yates razor yesterday it reconfirmed that the Diamondback was going to the BST. Today's shave with the new top cap solidified that decision for me. I have a fair number of razors in my den both modern and vintage but can't justify the amount of money tied up in a modern when another does the same job, again for me, at half the cost. At first pass with the new cap I wasn't sure there was necessarily more efficiency but there was still the smoothness and it actually helps find the shave angle even easier. Not that that was any problem before but it has taken an easy shave and taken it to near mindless now. After the shave and while writing this now and feeling my face I have to agree with Mark Shavemd that the efficiency was improved as well. I then realize I hadn't thought about the fact that I got today's results with less effort and strokes too. Yep, Yates has a winner here for me. I will miss the shine and cool factor of the Diamondback but as far as results I will still have them in the Yates 921 razor. Looking forward to upgrading as Jake gets shiny ones out too. Video below with a shout out to @Whisk-her Away (Not sure why the tag doesn't work for him)Have a Stupid Fun Day DFS !!!

Thanks for the video Dave I was wondering how the new top cap is and I guess there’s no reason to try and look for the original one. Sounds like the H Plate is for me and I can’t wait for them to be released.

Maybe I’m just making it up in my head, but I think the little grooves on the side of the new top cap help it glide a little better. I felt like the Charcoal goods caps did this too. See below:

That's groovy, along with the peace sign, oh I guess that's a Y. Sorry I couldn't help myself, all in fun
   Seriously it is nice to see a stamp of who makes a razor.
Maybe a hundred years from now when we're all gone somebody will say, hey look it's a Yates!
