ajc347 thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I look forward to your thoughts on the brass plate, that one is my favorite thus far.

AJSharp Stephen's Vector may have gotten a makeover in Southwestern PA Wink FloridaCreekIndian

Calm_Shaver We should have polished razors and polished H plates in stock prior to the end of November, or worst case, before Christmas.

Ahhh! Now I understand. I didn’t think the vector came in that finish so I was puzzled.

And I may have to walk back my initial thoughts on “Stubby”, as I’m choosing to call it. The handle worked great this morning and I think it was simply a matter of adjusting to it, rather than any dimensional issues. I can really let the weight do the work and have zero issues shaving.

And it’s amazing how the stonewash is grippy in smooth areas that would be slippery when wet in a polished finish. Love it.

AQU we call them the Stubby handles internally too, it just fits lol. Glad its growing on you. I think we kinda lucked into a unique finish with the stonewash. It's popular in the knife industry, but I haven't seen it in this industry prior to our razors, at least to my knowledge.

YatesPrecision  I've been to your website a couple of times looking around and signed up for your newsletter also.
Without going through all of this thread I was wondering what the different efficiencies info and plates offered at this time or maybe in the planning are
At this time I find myself gravitating toward the more efficient plates/razors

Hey keto I'd be happy to give you a quick summary.

We currently offer our standard M(Mid-Level) plate that comes with our razors. We also offer a brass HYB(Hybrid) plate that has the same geometry as the M plate, but one side is open comb and the other has the scalloped safety bar. Finally, we have a more aggressive H(High-Level) plate.

-M
Gap .025"
Exposure-Neutral

-HYB
Gap .025"
Exposure-Neutral

-H
Gap .040"
Exposure-Positive

We are also planning an EH(Extra High-Level) plate for the near future, as well as offering all of the above in both Hybrid versions and full open comb versions. I hope that answers your questions, and feel free to reach out with any others!

Thanks for that information Jake I appreciate it much.
Do you know if you will be releasing any, I guess it would be, complete razors with either the H or the EH plate?

keto This is something I've been putting some thought into. While its simpler and quicker to have complete razors packed and ready to ship, it becomes an issue of excessive inventory if you do this for all of the baseplates. However, I understand that some people do not want/need the M plate, and would prefer to have one of the others without having to pay extra. I would say for now, your best bet is to either contact me prior to placing your order and I can help you out, or purchase the individual components from our website and it will ship as a complete razor. I haven't come up with an elegant solution just yet, but I will.

Jake,
I understand where you're coming from and that answered my question. Sounds like a good route to go, so I'll keep watching and reading the thread for now get a plan together.

                                      Thanks again, Keith
