Shavemd Is the hybrid/DC brass plate gaps also like the Mild plate ? What is the blade gap and exposure of the H plate ? I didn't see any info on the web site.

AJSharp the hybrid brass plate is the same gap and exposure as the mid aggressive "standard" plate. it is just a dual comb SB/OC plate. He has just released a more aggressive baseplate that increases both the blade gap and the exposure this one is just SB currently. He has also created a new top cap which comes with standard threading.

I asked Jake a couple weeks ago about the blade gap with the H plate and he said .040”, so effectively 1mm.

I’ve been using the H plate (1.0 mm gap) with some great results. The comfort and smoothness of the shave is present but the cutting efficiency has gone up compared to the stock M plate (0.61 mm gap). As I can recall it seems as smooth as the CG2 but more efficient than that excellent razor. Also the Yates head covers the blade tabs without making loading the blade risky if you like covered tabs like I do.

Artisan beauty and originality in a sustainable packaging as well. All this in at a very affordable price point. If anyone is interested they released complete stonewashed razors on their site. I am pleased with this new razor company entry and Jake’s first offering. One last thing Jake answers emails so two thumbs up for customer service.

I have a polished and a stonewashed. No difference and no drag for me

No drag in stonewashed finish. It is a very comfortable and smooth even XTG. The stonewashed handle may be slightly more grippy than a polished version.

I've been following these Yates razors since their inception. My interest is there, just they just don't... Look that nice compared to other stainless steel options available. The thin, long handle honestly is the biggest turn off. Are there plans for other handle designs?
