Yates Precision Manufacturing DFS pass around

Unfortunately, it's the only handle I have that works with the yates head.  I didn't realize that the head geometry prevents the use of most other safety razor handles.  The thread post isn't quite long enough for me to be comfortable using it with any handle that doesn't fit all the way up to the bottom of the base plate.

Above The Tie’s bamboo handle will work as well.

I only have the Atlas, and that one doesn't fit. The Blackbird actually works really well.

My Blackbird handles were the first I used as an alternative.

Charcoal goods handles fit. Atleast the two I have. I know Shavemd has used a few different ones with success as well.

Shave 3:  Today was a face shave using the hybrid plate.  It made for a pretty cool looking razor.  I can usually get a pretty good shave out of a somewhat less aggressive/efficient razor on my face, and I wanted to experience the open comb.  Went with the open comb side for my with-the-grain pass and the closed comb side for my across-the-grain pass.

• The open comb actually felt very similar to the closed comb to me.  I don't like razors that have sharp, straight teeth like the ATT H2 or the New Deluxe.  I'm a steep angle shaver, and I feel the points of the teeth too much.  This razor wasn't like that.  It doesn't have a large curve to them like a Fatip or a Timeless, but they didn't feel sharp either, even at a very steep angle.
  
• I think the EH plate still felt better on my neck.
  
• Results were good.  Probably close to a DFS.  Not a whole lot different than the EH plate on my face.
  
• I still needed a VERY steep angle for this one to work well.  The sweet spot is pretty narrow, but not too difficult to find when shaving the face.
