I see. And I’d love to.

But from my point of view (vey low), the market has been the same since ancient Rome.
Caveat emptor.

The central theme of Hobbes' 'Leviathan' is that governments are needed to prevent chaos and the law of the jungle so that society and, by extension, commerce&c may develop to the betterment of the people.

The market was not always a lawless frontier. There was this thing termed regulatory oversight that had a very positive impact until neoliberalism rotted Western Civilization beginning in the 70s and fully metastasizing in the 90s. If I recall correctly, Italy flourished under a regulated market where even the wealthy industrialists felt a commitment to the long term thriving of the Italian citizenry.

I just don't understand why anyone would buy a knockoff for anything including a razor. I like the feeling and satisfaction of holding a quality razor in my hand and using it to get the results it provides. If I shaved with a knockoff razor, I'd have to do it in the dark without a mirror and sneak around all day wearing a mask.

I have the Excalibur head and the Romulus polished. The Excalibur is quite janky, and you have to be mindful of alignment but it works well with the amazing Kai Captain Mild blades. You do need to be a bit careful with it. The Romulus is much nicer. Works great with the Kai and Feather Pro. Feathers Super push it up another level, but again, you need to be careful.

The polished Romulus might be a bit too slick, with the Kai and Feather Pro, it can be an issue getting a feel for the razor.

A new innovation?  Not so new.  But the first in a very long time to put a magnet at the end of a razor handle.
Only the new Romulus has it.  The razor blade it came with gave me a good shave as well.  Would recommend.

I am very late to the party here. I own a RazoRock Hawk V3 and enjoy it. I wanted to try a Vector and posted a WTB. A fellow member offered me a Yaqui Remus at a very fair price and I snapped it up. I don’t know how it compares to the Vector but I am impressed with it. Knowing that the Remus is a knockoff should I have passed and spent considerably more for a Vector? There are many good points raised here. I do take exception to the notion that any sale of the Yaqi is a missed opportunity for Blackland given the price difference.
